Not me. I fully expected to be disappointed.

I am looking forward to the last show, watched every show and own all the DVD/BRs.

However it turns out, I will be OK with it. Had many fun nights watching the show and talking about it.

My wife and I may rent a Hotel Room and just enjoy it together.

Intersting take. With Lost I think everyone expected a massive finale because the show was essentially an endless string of promises of future revelations (which most of us knew wasn't going to happen because season six was so bad).

With Smallville on the other hand I think we know the endgame: Clark wearing the superman suit. If they manage to screw that up, you can count me among the upset crowd. But I don't think they will.

I just watched the pilot of Smallville which the CW showed a few weeks ago.

The most interesting thing was it opened with a shot of Lionel Luthor reading a newspaper with the headline "CEO of Queen Enterprises Missing" or something like that. So maybe they have had the whole show planned from the start? Well, I doubt that, but I wonder if they knew they wanted to introduce Oliver Queen at the point or if that was just something from the comics they threw in.

Yeah, the pilot thread was bumped and that was discussed a few weeks ago.

I was wondering if it might have been something they went back and changed (once Oliver was introduced) without telling anyone.

Doesn't the pilot start during the first meteorite shower on Smallville (when Clark's spaceship crashed)? I've been thinking that the headline refers to his father, given that Lionel killed him by sabotaging a plane he was on to crash on a remote island.

I still need to watch this episode (saw Dominion yesterday - meh, but at least they revived the Darkseid story line), but I thought I'd pass along that the premier for each season is up for free on iTunes.

Right, the headline would have referred to Oliver's father. So in the pilot, Lionel would have had just done that. Wasn't Oliver's mother also killed in the same accident? So Oliver and Lana Lang would have both been orphaned at right around the same time. I think I remember some flashback episodes featuring Olver's parents and Lionel and the whole Veritas thing, but my memory is hazy on those. Did Veritas know about Clark before he crashed on Earth or did all that stuff come after he arrived?
