5 children (2 girls, 3 boys) + 1 bastard:
Jon Snow - bastard; white wolf; off to the Wall
Arya - youngest daughter; tomboy; expert at archery, glaring, and pulling hair
Sansa - oldest daughter; daydreaming lady-in-training whose prince has come; unfortunately, he's a twat
Robb - oldest son; like Jon Snow but has sharper features, blue eyes, and is boring
Bran - younger son; previously in training for Assassin's Creed: Westeros but now seeking new career path
Rickon - youngest son; only glimpsed one time on the show so far; non-entity
Dothraki are the horse people. They're essentially Mongols, and Khal Drogo is their Genghis Khan. The continent they're on now is directly west of Westeros, which is the main continent with seven kingdoms and a Wall up north, and the two continents are separated by what's called the Narrow Sea, which is basically a...narrow sea. Think medieval Europe and Asia, except with a body of water roughly equivalent to the English Channel dividing them.

Again, sorry about the lack of names here. I'm especially lost when it comes to the names of the various people in the Horse Barbarians plotline. I know Dothraki (sp, I'm sure) is one of them, but I don't know if that's one of the blond people, the country they're from, the horse barbarians, or the name of their leader.

I watched it a second time this evening and picked up a lot I missed the first time through. And that's from someone who's read the books, so I can only imagine how useful it would be to someone new to the world. Even though they're taking their time unfolding things, there's still a lot of nuance going on.

I don't think they said at all where they were, but in the book the whole incident went down at the mentioned place.

Just rewatched the scene in question. After being informed that Arya has been found, Ned gets pissed and quite clearly shouts "Back! Back to the inn!"

Nobody puts on a beat-down like Dinklage.
It appears that he's enjoying the heck out of this role & squeezing every bit of juicy flavorness out of it.
Re: Picking up additional things on second viewing...that raises the DVDTalk Reviews rewatchability factor when the set is released.

Yeah, Dinklage understands he finally gets to be the scenery chewer he's always wanted to be with this character. And he's doing it phenomenally. Tyrion was made for him to play and I couldn't think of a better person to play the role.

Geez, you'd think this Dinklage was some major figure with all of the masturbatory statements. Am I supposed to know who he is beside a midget actor?

He is a very talented actor that happens to be a little person, IIRC he has dwarfism. He has been in several movies and tv shows. Watch the Station Agent, an excellent movie. He has had several roles that he was not cast as a little person but as an actual actor.

AGENT: We have an offer for a fantasy TV series. You'd be playing a character called "The Imp."
DINKLAGE: Oh, crap, some fucking Munchkin or Ewok. Tell them to get Warwick Davis.

Based on the interviews I've seen with Dinklage, he understands the part very well. There was one moment in a clip (posted in the previous threads) where the interview refers to the "Evil Lannisters" and he's quick to correct her in such a way that leads me to believe that he's read the novels. Possibly even before being offered the role.

I do think people should pay more attention while watching. Maybe put the laptop or iPhone down for 50 odd minutes.
