Looks like this might take place over at least two time periods. Bullock appeared to be grayer in some shots.

Last I heard the release date is May 31. That still correct?

Apparently Milch has Alzheimer's and has been dealing with it as they create this film. That just breaks my heart. If it can happen to a guy with his intellect, it can happen to any of us.

And here all this time I thought only people with learning disabilities could get Alzheimer's.

The only problem with watching this trailer is that it makes me think how fucking great more seasons of this show would have been.

I have never seen a full episode but the trailer looks amazing. I have looked for the bluray complete series set and it appears to be OOP as its only on Amazon from third party sellers. I'm guessing the movie will get packaged with the series for a future bluray release?

It’s not out of print. There is an older version with different packaging. That’s probably what you’re looking at. Might be better off just subscribing to HBO.

The region free UK version is $20.64 on Amazon.com and the vendor is "Amazon Global Store UK" (which is amazon UK). Should be on top of this page:

So obligatory...do I have to have had to watch entire series to get into his? I do like the time period, actors, certainly, and I’m sure more enjoyable, but just wondering, as the trailer did look fantastic...

It's expensive right now, but worth it

Note : Unlike the complete Sopranos, The Wire or True Blood, this does NOT come with a digital copy. I got the set from BB last year and was disappointed to find that out.

I have the UK version on BD, which I will watch again before the movie. The movie trailer gives me chills. It's also shitty that a few of the characters of the show are no longer with us in real life. They really did take their sweet fucking time.

I guess my comment was kind of stupid, but not sure I deserved such a snarky reply.

Just email them. Even though it's not advertised as coming with a digital copy, they will send you one. Someone from here actually mentioned that awhile back (Dan maybe?). I ended up doing that for the complete series with Deadwood and Entourage.

I'm not sure how $80 is worth it when I had just posted a version with the same content for $20.

I found the dvds of the whole series at my local library. I'll start watching the show this week.

This is a wrap up movie for the series and you're asking if you need to watch the series? C'mon dude.
