I view that like I view the idea that a high school glee club would have 4-6 new choreographed and perfected every week. I was in one of the top show choirs in the state of Iowa in high school and you worked on like 3 or 4 numbers total for months, and that's what you took to the competitions.
So for me, the actual "glee club" aspect of the show is easily as unrealistic as the football stuff. I accepted how ridiculous that was in Episode 2, Season 1.

I guess everyone was supposed to forget that just a few months ago, the Glee kids performed "Like a Prayer" complete with a Kurt solo.
Just another thing that makes the characters and plots seem totally random.
