CBS shows air an hour earlier for me, so I'm debating whether to watch this or The Event live.

In the latest edition of Entertainment Weekly, they reported the Pilot costed over $8M to produce.

I have seen this (prescreener while I was in Vegas a few weeks ago). I will be curious to hear what others think. I wasn't high or low on this kind of in the middle. It has a lot of potential but could also end up getting ignored.

They have been advertising the hell out of this in/around Los Angeles.

I wonder if Dae Kim actually lives in Hawaii now considering he's shot back-to-back shows there?
I recently read an article where he said they shot some scenes for this show at the same location Lost was shot -- that must be weird.

In Entertainment Weekly they mentioned that DDK lives in Hawaii with his family and owns a restaurant.

I will be definitely watching this. Based on the previews, it seems they got everything right from the tone, to the casting -- and the production crew isn't shabby either.
Ah, who am I fooling. None of that matters 'cuz Grace Park is hot!

The only problem I've had with this show so far is the previews they're running that say "You know the names."
Sorry, but most of the audience doesn't know the names. The Original ended over 30 years ago. I thought CBS was trying to distance itself from being known as the Old Folks Network. I'm not saying you hide the fact it's a remake, but don't assume the audience is going to be composed of people who loved the original.
The show itself looks promising, and I hope they get Yunjin Kim to do a guest spot at some point.

of all the broadcast pilots I've watched so far, this was actually the most enjoyable. A good little action series, adding a dose of ass kicking to the standard procedural. Very glossy and expensive looking, well acted and decently scripted.

It was solid. However, the original is one of my favorite shows and I've been watching the DVD sets over the past few months. I know that this is more of a reboot than a remake, but it's hard not to compare the two. After this first episode, Jack Lord and Kam Fong still reign supreme.
