If you're bored and have nothing better to watch, you might as well watch it because it's free, right? It was intriguing, but it will likely leave you disappointed since the producers didn't get to finish their story.

How much have you seen? If you are halfway, you might as well finish it but if you haven't started or you have seen only the pre-hiatus episodes, I would stop.

It was decent but far from standalone.

Me too, and I seldom quit shows. They seemed to go around in circles way too much for every little step forward.

I watched all 22 episodes and it doesn't work as a standalone season. It was entertaining for the most part and had some good action. Joseph Fiennes was the lead, but I thought Christine Woods outshined him even though she was only a supporting character. They designed the show for a 5-season arc and unfortunately they never got that. Episode 22 was filmed before ABC canned them and they didn't have time to work it as a series finale with closure.

Yes. While it lasted, I enjoyed it. The finale was a let down, but it was worth the ride. Watch the first few episodes, and if you don't like it, then don't watch it. But it's definitely worth a try.

No, mostly because it's just not a good show.

As far as whether it works as a standalone, I would say yes, kind of. As a barely spoiler I will say the finale episode leads up to and covers the time that everyone flashforwards to in the pilot. So as far as what people see during the blackout, everything is resolved. The greater questions of the who, what, why and how behind the blackout are explored, many issues are addressed but everything is not fully resolved.

The pilot was excellent, the mid-season opener was excellent. The finale was entertaining, but not fulfilling. About 3-4 of the shows in-between were entertaining. The rest of the season was not too great. If I had to do it again, I would skip it. But if you have nothing better to do...then maybe.

It's a show that had a ton of both dramatic and thought-provoking potential ... and didn't realize it. The second-half relaunch episode was decent and I certainly dug the excellent premiere that ignited the whole thing, but the full season made several of the same mistakes over and over by sticking to bloated, blunt-headed drama and low plot revelation.

I like looking at Christine Woods, so I say yes... especially if you start with the pilot, skip ahead to the mid-season premiere and watch that through the end.

The show had potential, but as others have said, it didn't live up to it.

If the 22 episode season had been condensed into the first ten episodes or so they might have had something. They spread it way too thin with too much filler and too many characters I didn't care about.

Re: Is Flashforward as a Standalone Season worth watching ?

Interesting premise. Great pilot episode. The later episodes that focused on plot rather than the interpersonal drama of the unlikeable cast had at least some entertainment value.

Without getting into spoilers, I'll just say that Flash Forward was a chore to watch... and I'm glad it's over.

I can only hope that it doesn't become one of these shows that people refer to as "it was cancelled just as it was getting great!" because, again, it was a chore to watch.

Don't waste your time like we did. Besides going nowhere, it ends on a cliffhanger - just pointless all around.

I don't think it's worth it, either.
