This season has been awful, all the crap with Lock and the smoke monster are lame, they turned something interesting and something that I wanted to know so much more about into something i could care less about now.

So far, this seems to be on the right track. I'm pissed off that it is likely I'm not getting specific important answers, but it looks more promising than last week that we might get some sort of satisfying resolution out of this.
I'm going to go ahead and say placing last week's episode where it was tops the Terrence & Phillip South Park episode by a mile in terms of biggest prick scheduling of a non-sequitur episode in the midst of a story arc. |

Yeah, I almost feel like last week's episode was just to shut everyone up about answering mysteries by showing how completely contrived and shitty it would be if they did. If the finale's as strong as this episode, I'll be perfectly happy pretending the one from last week was never made.
