Re: Lost -- "What They Died For" -- 18.05.10
Since they've gone to awkward lengths not to reveal the name of David's mother, I'm fairly certain we'll get this scene in the "Finally":
JACK: David, there's your mother. Let's go over and say hello. [Cut to a familiar looking figure from behind, with distinctive blonde hair] DAVID: Hello, mother. [Cue dramatic music as David's Mother turns around slowly...to reveal Titus Welliver in a wig!] DAVID'S MOTHER: Hello, David. Hello, Jack. JACK: Hello...you. LOST |

My guess is with the chunk of Losties at the concert, they will all flash to island time and the story continues from there. Who will be at the concert? Desmond, Sayid, Kate, Hurley, Jack, Miles, Charlotte, and perhaps Sawyer (as Miles' "date"). Ben and Locke are two I'm not sure about.
Overall, I thought this was pretty good. I doubt Richard is dead, but the smoke monster probably knocked him far away from the compound. Besides, he's eternal, not invulnerable. |
Re: Lost -- "What They Died For" -- 18.05.10
Why did Jacob tell Kate that her name was cross-out because she became a mother. Aaron was not her real son unless this has to do with Jacob false mom from last episode. He did tell her that she could take his place if she want it.

Re: Lost -- "What They Died For" -- 18.05.10
Just that she now had something to live for off the island - meaning raising Aaron.

Re: Lost -- "What They Died For" -- 18.05.10
By those standards, why was Sun and/or Jin not crossed off?

It's just chalk on a wall. It doesn't mean anything. Geez.

I think the only people at this point that disagree with this sentiment are Damon and Carlton.

"It's yours if you want it". Biggest cop out I think I've ever seen on a show. |
Re: Lost -- "What They Died For" -- 18.05.10
As our time with Lost comes to a close I begin to wonder if there is more significance to the relationship between Jack and Desmond. In the two timelines they are akin to spiritual brothers who are working together to "fix" things. It gives much more meaning to Desmond's "See you in another life brotha." and the 'failed' relationship between Jacob and MiB. I just hope that between Jack and Desmond they can break this cycle of men = evil and death, and island protector (be it from smokey or man in general).

Great episode! Can't wait until Sunday! No theories here, however, I have a feeling Sidways Aaron is going to be born and it's going to be pivotl to the ending!
