I wonder if we will ever get an answer to the lingering question I've had since season one.... Why didn't Jack crash with the rest of the Losties?
It occurred to me after they went back a second time...the flash on the plane and the "rapture" of the Losties and their reappearance on the island made it appear that the "island" flashed people off the plane before it went down. In fact, Jack woke up in the EXACT same spot he did after 815 crashed. My theory: the island takes back those who were already on the island and useful to the island in some way, or a candidate. (Which would lead us to believe that Sun was NOT the Kwon written on the wall.) Season one suggests that Jack was once on the island before, perhaps as a baby, and taken off the island before he could have any early memories of it. Because if it was just a flash to take all the candidates off the plane why was Jack the only one flashed off the plane in season one? One theory: they are making all of this up as they go along and never bothered to try to think of an explanation. Second theory: Perhaps when (if) Jack and Desmond go back in time they will discover Christian was on the island before with bouncing baby boy Jack. They rescue bouncing baby boy Jack and name him....DAVID!!! (I have to admit I don't put much stock into theory two...more so theory one.) But I really do hope this gets explained before the series ends. I don't care about every little mystery of the island, but this is a big mystery for one of the main characters. It really needs to be addressed. |

My expectations for the last episode are at zero. There's no way they can tie everything together in two and a half hours. I've wasted almost six years of my life on this shit. Fuck you, Damon Lindelof. I may not even bother watching the last episode. Really, I'm that mad right now. Spoiler:

That's what I used to think until Ajira landed. I thought in season one he was just thrown clear of the wreckage...we weren't led to believe much else. But when he woke up in the same area after Ajira landed that was a big WTF moment for me. It obviously seemed to be meaning something.

I don't need every little detail explained to me. But some of the little details are annoying because they highlight the fact that the motivations of a lot of the characters/factions seem to be inconsistent throughout the show. It's hard for me to remember all the details as I haven't seen most of seasons 4 and 5 since they originally aired, but for example, what exactly has been the Others' goal all this time? Presumably they are disciples of Jacob and are helping to protect the island. But if that's the case, why kidnap children? Why shoot down random survivors with flaming arrows? Why the constant terrorizing of the crash victims when Jacob's whole mission statement is about finding the good in people? There are other examples like why does the smoke monster kill people (Eko for example) when supposedly all it wants is to find someone who will kill Jacob and get off the island?

This show this whole season has been utter crap. People crap on Heroes, but atleast that show was entertaining. This season has been awful, all the crap with Lock and the smoke monster are lame, they turned something interesting and something that I wanted to know so much more about into something i could care less about now.
Glad this show didnt get renewed for another season the rate its going |
