Yeah, I'd considered the "falling on the grenade" scenario, but that bomb was far from a grenade, where a body could really shield the explosion. (Where were all the flying Jarrah parts, anyway?) I think he would've been better served to toss the bomb, then help the rest after the explosion. Could've still gone out a hero by drowning while saving the others.

And speaking of C4, they at least made it perfectly clear that it was Widmore who rigged the plane, not Flocke, which some had proposed.

Silly ass. If you weren't as stubborn as a mule you'd realize that a bipolar bear is perfect for the job. Stop being a jackass and hitch your donkey to the up-and-down fun that is life with a bipolar bear, burro-breath.

Ah, fuck it!

The time for analysis, guess-work, theory building, mystery deciphering, plot examination, and head scratching is over. I'm just going to turn off my brain and enjoy the rest of the ride.

C&L's plan worked perfectly!

See, here's the reality that makes less sense: He wasn't even trying to kill him! He was trying to capture and abduct him for some unknown end.

Turn off your brain? Isn't that what you did when you came up with the outer space wormhole asteroid theory?

The more I think about it, the more I think ATS wasn't really that bad, it was just poorly placed in the season. It was too close to the end and too late in the game to be getting the backstory on the Jacob/MIB feud. It should have been one of the first episodes of the season, if not THE first episode.

Just picking apart your post here.

If the only criteria for the job was to want it what the hell was the point of this whole thing anyway? Locke would have asked for the job by the end of the first episode. It doesn't matter that he crossed you out because he just had arbitrary reasons for crossing people out.

The hole thing basically comes down to: "forget what we've said before, none of this bullshit we've stated before matters. All that matters is reaching the conclusion we thought about somewhere in the middle of the season."

HA! You wait! My Outer Space Wormhole Asteroid Theory (TM) (OSWAT), which will obviously be the main thrust of the finale, will be a mind-shattering revelation to doubting Thomases everywhere as it very neatly resolves all of Lost's mysterious mysteries, answers all unanswered questions, provides fitting closure for all of Lost's characters, does all this in 2 1/2 hours, and ultimately reveals the shocking truth that indeed Darlton are the geniuses we all hoped they were -- geniuses who knew exactly what the fuck they were doing all along. You wait!

OSWAT. I like it! OSWAT.

My guess is with the chunk of Losties at the concert, they will all flash to island time and the story continues from there. Who will be at the concert? Desmond, Sayid, Kate, Hurley, Jack, Miles, Charlotte, and perhaps Sawyer (as Miles' "date"). Ben and Locke are two I'm not sure about.

Jack's baby momma (Juliet?) will be there too.

I think having all the characters from both timelines meeting each other at the concert and singing 'You All Everybody' would be a great ending.

Across The Sea might have been better served as the season opener. Or they could have showed the first half of LAX and then ATS. Then the third episode could have been the second half of LAX.

I'm not sure what would get Ben there. Locke maybe, if Jack says "Hey, come see my kid play piano tonight".

Faraday likes music...

So all this time Jacob was bringing people to the island to try to kill MIB as well, just like the MIB had been trying to do and eventually did......

I can't believe how much people care about that damn outrigger scene. I marathoned through that season on blu-ray and I never cared who was in the outrigger because no matter what, everyone is always trying to kill someone else on that island. Just figured it was The Others I guess.

After finally seeing Across The Sea (not as bad as advertised), I feel it should have been expanded and used as the flash sideways or instead of the temple bullshit.

I think the only people at this point that disagree with this sentiment are Damon and Carlton.

Here's another question. What's up with Kate and that horse from her past? The crap was that all about? Same horse or what?

I think the second episode of the season would be better for ATS. Otherwise people would have been bitching about waiting all those months to see their favorite characters.

Could Ben and Locke be teaching at David's school? Maybe that's how they get to the concert.

Could David's concert actually be part of the Museum benefit?? That'd be one way to get all these guys together...
