I think there is a strong possibility that Lie to Me and HT will share the same timeslot. Monday's at 9pm makes sense to me since it's now available.

I say hold Human Target until January 2011 and let it run 13 straight weeks. Let Lie to Me premiere in the Fall and end it's season in the winter.

So why didnt Human Target do better ? Good action, ridiculously hot babes each week, standalone episodes ... Why would NCIS/Castle type shows kick its butt ????

Your guess is as good as mine. I read that some didn't like Mark Valley and others say they are tired of action-shoot 'em up TV shows. Honestly, I don't know, but at least they are giving it another shot.

Now that Happy Town is toast, here's hoping they bring back Amy Acker for season 2.

They'll probably do it the other way around if that's what they're going to do. Lie To Me is going to run until at least August with new episodes (12 left this season), so it would seem like overkill to bring it right back in the fall. Human Target would be a good fit for advertising during the MLB playoffs and World Series, giving it a potential boost.

The early time slot switches hurt. The 3 week break hurt. It's not a show that meshed well with the Idol audience. Castle appeals to women, with Fillion having charm that Mark Valley doesn't. Babe of the week doesn't really appeal to women, but a strong female like Beckett on Castle does.

Bottom line: Human Target is a guy show, which makes it an uphill battle from the start.

That's right. It comes back in June and that will indeed be overkill after 3 straight months of new episodes. Midseason for LTM makes much more sense.

Yes. They're also more resistant to the lure of advertising and spend less when caught. There's a reason so many more square feet of space at the mall is devoted to Stuff For Women.

I've also noticed that female oriented shows can draw male viewers that are watching just because their woman is doing such. Sex and the City is a prime example.

We are so glad HT is coming back, my wife is a huge fan. We are an older demographic (50+) and Target is exactly the kind of show we love. Well, and we never miss NCIS, either.

Re: Human Target -- Season Finale -- "Christopher Chance" -- 04/14/10

Just a heads up -- this show has been moved -- it was originally planned to air Season 2 on Fridays, it will now air on Wednesday in place of Lie to Me which has been moved to Mondays in lieu of Lonestars cancellation.

Fox's 'Human Target' Moves To Wednesdays
By NELLIE ANDREEVA | Wednesday September 29, 2010 @ 7:18am PDT

In the fallout of the Lone Star cancellation, Fox's drama Human Target will move from Fridays to Wednesdays, taking over the slot originally given to Lie To Me. Lie to Me was to premiere on Nov. 10 and run in the Wednesday 8 PM slot, leading into an one-hour Hell's Kitchen. But as the crime procedural was summoned yesterday to take over the Monday 9 PM period vacated by the cancelled Lone Star staring next week, Human Target will now take its place on Wednesdays. It will premiere Nov. 17. A two-hour Hell's Kitchen will air on Nov. 10. Instead of launching Human Target's second season this past Friday as first planned, Fox held back, airing a Human Target rerun instead, followed by the season debut of The Good Guys. The network will now run House repeats in the Friday 8 PM hour.

Re: Human Target -- Season Finale -- "Christopher Chance" -- 04/14/10

Survivor will draw more, ABC's comedies will draw more, but thinking HT could beat both Undercovers and ANTM. Will 3rd place be good enough to keep the show on the air?

So I guess Fox is just throwing The Good Guys under the bus.

I was looking forward to the premiere this week and now I have to wait until November (plus now it conflicts with Undercovers). I will just be happy FOX gave it a second season and hope they aren't throwing The Good Guys under the bus.

The Good Guys is as good as dead now. FOX just gave up on Friday as a viable show night. The only positive news here is that Human Target is being given a chance to survive by moving to Wednesday.

Not that it's much of a chance. ABC has their comedies, CBS has Survivor, NBC has Undercovers.

But yeah, The Good Guys might get to air this week, then it could be Bones reruns after that.

Some good news. FOX ordered 2 more scripts for Human Target.

Keep in mind, it's just scripts, not extra episodes yet. When scripts are ordered, all it really means is the network wants to see what the writers can come up with if the season is extended.

If those scripts actually get filmed, it would bring the episode count to 15.
