I nearly bailed after the absolutely awful premiere episode, but stuck with it and have completely fallen in love with it. I hope it returns. Seeing Lee Majors was great - I wished they hadn't killed his character off; he'd have made a nice recurring character.

Re: Human Target -- Season Finale -- "Christopher Chance" -- 04/14/10
Finally watched this tonight and loved it. Normally I hate flash back episodes and Human Target has been pretty notorious for the 5 hours earlier stuff that starts every episode, but I think it worked really well with this episode.
Amy Acker looked fricking amazing. I also agree with most of the comments here that I didn't see Katherine at the boat when it exploded, so I think they are definitely leaving the door open for her to come back.
It was good to finally learn how Chance and Baptiste's relationship fell apart. When the hell did Armand Assante become a mumbler of words? I remember when he was younger and have no recollection of him having such a think accent and mumbling his lines. I can't believe that this is the same guy who actually played Mike Hammer (the old detective character) in 1 movie.
Since 24 is gone in May, FOX needs a high octane adrenaline rush for it's male audience and this 100% fills the boat.

rhuht rho!
looks like either "Human Target" or "Lie to Me" will be axed. I don't watch "Lie to Me" so I'm pulling for HT.

Shit. Hope it is Lie to me! HT was a suitable replacement for 24 and probably costs a shit ton less.

I gave up on Lie To Me after a few episodes in season 1 while I enjoyed the first season of Human Target, so obviously I hope they choose Human Target. I also noticed in the article that Shawn Ryan left Lie To Me, so that doesn't help their cause much.

Seems as if Lie to Me is the foregone conclusion, as it is in house and I don't see Fox giving and outside production with lots of costs the slot. Hate it, but that's the way they seem to think.

I hate to say it, but Lie to Me does have a slight advantage even though Shawn Ryan quit the show. It's relatively inexpensive since it's shot in Los Angeles and there isn't any action sequences or special effects like Human Target. Plus, anytime a show is produced by an outside studio there is always the issue of the license fee.

Crap! Why does it have to be one or the other? I tried to watch "Lie to Me" a couple of times and everybody on it was such an annoying, know-it-all jerk I couldn't ever make it to the end of an episode. At least "The Mentalist" has a sense of humor about his smarminess.
Come on Fox, keep em both!

Ausiello:
THIS JUST IN: Although there’s no official word from Fox, sources confirm that the network is thisclose to picking up Lie to Me for a 13-episode third season. Fox has also opted to bring back struggling freshman drama Human Target for a 13-episode second season, with Chuck co-executive producer Matthew Miller coming on board to serve as co-showrunner alongside Jonathan Steinberg.

Be nice when there's official word. Although, to me, it shouldn't even be close. What a wonderful show this ended up being!

Between Lie to Me and Human Target, there is no question whch one I want to come back. Although I watch both, and enjoy both, Human Target is so much more fun to watch.

It's official now:

Nice to see FOX doing the right thing and keeping both. I was worried we were going to have another Dollhouse/Terminator situation. Of course if Human Target is moved to Friday, we could end up with another Dollhouse. I'm just glad we're getting resolution to the finale.

Great news. I'm happy both are returning. Human Target should take over 24's old timeslot on Monday's at 9pm.
