Re: 'Legend of the Seek' Cancelled.

Anyone else getting a slight The Matrix Revolutions vibe from this clip?

Re: 'Legend of the Seek' Cancelled.

Well this sucks. I liked the show but I *love* the syndie model for first run TV (WKRP 2.0 anyone?)

With all the upfront costs paid and a built in fan base this show would be perfect to make new seasons direct to the consumer via DVD.

But then again I said the same thing about Arrested Development...

Re: 'Legend of the Seek' Cancelled.

I think the show could find new life as a series of DVT movies (one per book/season). Although I much prefer your idea wz42 as it would mean even more time spent with these characters. It would also mean they could nix the weak clip show episodes.

Re: 'Legend of the Seek' Cancelled.

So if like me you have WGN, the finale airs in 20 minutes. And then no more Tabrett Bethell, no more Bridget Regan, and no more fun show.

Way to go out with a bang. Although
Spoiler:
that was a major deus ex machina
at the very end.

And I'm glad they
Spoiler:
left an opening for another season (even if it might never happen ).

Re: 'Legend of the Seek' Cancelled.

Has the show gone from "probably canceled" to "definitively canceled" yet?

Definitely cancelled per Bridget Regan's comments in the video found in post #51.

Re: 'Legend of the Seek' Cancelled.

For those who have watched the entire series, is the ending what you would call "satisfactory?" I haven't started watching any of this, but like fantasy/sci-fi stuff. Don't want to commit if the ending is very disappointing. They probably knew this season was the last way ahead of time, so hopefully the finale is satisfying.

Each season ties up it's main storyline - they don't end on cliffhangers from one season to the next. Personally, I'm sad the series is canceled but I was fine with how it ended.

Yeah, they resolved the main storyline of the season. They left the door open for further adventures but also offered a satisfying conclusion.

Re: 'Legend of the Seek' Cancelled.

Yeah, it is definitely worth the watch. They had a premise in S1 that could have easily been stretched for the entire run of the series if it were just an episodic adventure show, but they actually resolved it.

The season two finale was a very concrete season finale, but not as much of a series finale as the first one would have been. It just didn't have the same amount of closure, even though the didn't leave much of anything hanging. It's probably because that's how the books were written. The first one was a standalone story and then the sequel had to kick start things again and open it as for a series of stories. Kind of like a miniseries that gets picked up as a series.

Re: 'Legend of the Seek' Cancelled.

It's my understanding that all but the last three books (which form a trilogy) are all standalone adventures that take place in the same universe and feature recurring characters (like Clive Cussler's Dirk Pitt, Oregon, and NUMA series).

So am I. This to me is a huge extended weekend of series finales and this show is over far too soon.

Re: 'Legend of the Seek' Cancelled.

This resolved pretty good. The only beef I have is the "true love" statement that Zed made. A little corny.

Great series, one of my favorites. Sad to see it good.

Maybe Bridget Regan could get picked for Wonder Woman.

Bridget would make a great guest star on Smallville. I wonder if she's coming back to the states or going native like Renee O'Connor did.

Re: 'Legend of the Seek' Cancelled.

This was a show that never really got a fair chance. Serial dramas just can't work as new syndicated products now, because television viewing is so fractured. I really wish a channel like Syfy (that is still the worst rebranding in the history of tv) had picked the show up. It was a better series than anything that channel has produced in years. The second season was a nice blend of action and narrative. The finale was good, and you could tell they spent a little more money on the CGI for it. Seeker needed more promotion in the media. Stunt casting with bigger guest stars might have built more awareness of the show.

I'm only partway through S2 so I apologize if this has been answered before but I want to avoid spoilers. Was it ever explained why they radically changed the look of Kahlan in episode 8?

Finally finished watching the series and damn... I loved this show. I really hate knowing itll never be back but at least it got a good conclusion. And damn were Kara and Kahlan looking GOOD.

I want a bluray release!

Didn't notice this question at the time, but was that the change in costuming? I don't know if it was ever explained in story terms, but I believe the earlier outfit got in the way too much during action scenes.
