I really, really don't understand why Kate didn't tell Claire that grandma has Aaron. That would have been the first fucking thing out of my mouth.

"I took your baby, but it's cool! He's with your mom and safe! Now, let's get you back to him."

But that would have drawn attention away from Kate. She wanted Claire to tell her what a great fucking person she is, not to reassure Claire that her baby is safe and sound.

I really hope Flocke gets all smokey on her next week.

Here's how I read that scene: Claire looked mad as hell at Kate and when it looked like Smokey might killer her she guided her down to safety with her so she could be the one to finish her off. Unless she finds out her 'friend' has been lying to her.

Well, she knows some has to be lying to her now. Keep something in mind, the MiB (her friend) told her that her baby was at the Temple. She can put one and one together and see that Aaron isnt there. If Kate is telling the truth, that means she knows she is following a guy that lied to her.

And he manages to, naturally, come across as more creepy than the intended creep in the video.

My stupid PVR cut off the end of the episode. What happened after Claire walks out of the temple and joins Locke? TIA.

Rousseau appears from the shadows, calmly points a shotgun (we don't see exactly at who) and fires. Fade to black, "LOST".

Did anyone else catch the fact that this is yet another association of the Losties off-island? Jack is in the hospital when Sayid shows up.

Maybe Sayid was unable to kill MIB because MIB wasn't himself when Sayid stabbed him. Maybe MIB has to be in his original human form before he can be killed (the way he appeared on the beach in the Season 5 finale). Jacob was himself when Ben killed him. Thoughts?

I think we all know how that happened. After all the watch he had made it into the hands of Rafe Gruber. http://forum.dvdtalk.com/tv-talk/570...3-01-10-a.html

I thought the episode was okay. I really felt like the off-island flash was filler, especially since this is the first one that we've seen where the story isn't mostly resolved. Guess we'll pick up the Jin/Sayid story later.

I'm confused why they bothered to introduce new characters only to blow them off. Also, everybody is critical of Kate, but she seems more loyal than the flight attendant who goes wherever it is "safe".

I thought it was Alex. Which is obvious foreshadowing to Claire murdering Aaron.

Re: Lost -- "Sundown" -- 03.02.10

you can't kill something that's already dead

unless that dagger was some special demon killing dagger then it is pointless

maybe they should try some hot fish grease to the face...

I loved that. Before Sayid even finished his sentence her bags were packed and she was ready to go. Not a hesitation in the slightest.

I mean in the flash sideways Locke is getting married, Jack is reconciling with his son, sayid is with Nadia(kind of), Hurley is rich and lucky, Kate seems to be having fun running from the law, Claire is having her baby, sawyer seems like he could be a god guy, Jin is locked in a cooler...wait the last one doesn't work, but you catch my drift....maybe the promise from MiB and Jacob is that your life does/will turn out well just not this timeline (if there are even two timelines)

that all made sense to me...
i was thinking more like a Faustian deal...technically you get what you want, but not really...maybe jin wished he and Sun landed in LAX, but didn't count on being searched and then not having the money he needed to pay the gangsters, which led to the situation he is in now....I don't know, i haven't put together my theory, but I'm leaning this way for now...

Here's the relevant text from Lostpedia:

Their marriage came to an abrupt end, however, when she was killed in Los Angeles in late October 2005. She was hit by a car in a hit-and-run collision while Sayid was occupied with giving directions to a stranger.

Was that stranger Jacob?

Btw I thought it was strange how all Jacob's people left his side so quickly to go with Flocke.

Yup, as was shown in the S5 finale.
