Except for the fact that this is a Conan thread and he (and others) just keep crapping in it constantly...Besides that I've not really been crapping on Leno I've simply pointed things out that he's done throughout this whole deal that I personally don't agree with.

While I don't agree with wm_lopez at all, I don't think his comments on this thread count as thread crapping. The discussion is about Conan, NBC, Leno and the events that transpired between them. If wm_lopez dislike's Conan's actions, he's free to voice his opinion in this thread, no matter how wrong-headed and incorrect those opinions are.

But whatever I'm done with him not gonna waste time arguing.

Conan has talent. As far as comidians go if Rody Dangerfield is a grade A I give Conan a grade B+ . I only have a problem with him on the way he's acted after his ratings have not been good and he is given $30 million to go away. That's all. It's no different than say baseball's Milton Bradley was playing the race card last year while playing for the Cubs.
So guess what he still sucks this year.
Conan I say your funny but not funny enough to have people want to see you. Live with it.

I guess I've got a different idea of what a thread crap is but to me when someone is constantly coming in to only make comments about how much they dislike the person the thread is about (I mean lets face it NBC and Leno are discussed but its mostly a Conan thread it even says so in the title) and keeps on making stupid comments that contribute nothing to the thread that to me seems like a thread crap
But whatever I'm done with him not gonna waste time arguing.
But whatever I'm done with him not gonna waste time arguing.I honestly don't think a lot of what he posts is done to make a genuine argument but just to get a reaction from people. I think we all are probably guilty of doing that from time to time, but when it's a pattern, and believe me it's a pattern, I do think it's not good for the threads and the forum. It's by no means the worst thing in the world either.
Just my opinion. As I've stated, I like Conan, I think anyone who's reasonable knows he got screwed by Jay (NBC too) and I don't think you have to hate Jay or love Conan to see that's what happened.
Letterman's got more money than he could ever need, so having the Tonight Show taken from him by Jay was far from the end of the world. But this was the man's dream. He worshiped Johnny Carson and his dream came true in that Carson ended up loving him and wanted him to replace him. When you think about how many people grew up watching that show and wanted the same thing, that's probably longer odds than winning power-ball. So, it's not just about whether the money is good or whether you life is ruined.
Conan wanted to host the Tonight show with every fiber of his being and I know he'd have done very well and I'm not even a big fan. To have someone rip that away from you, to basically undercut you from the beginning after handing off the show and wishing you well, I mean that just has to hurt.
Yes, his wife is beautiful, he's blessed with many, many things. But he can still have all those things and get royally screwed by a man that, despite the ratings wins, has almost driven the brand of the Tonight Show into the ground. Very few people in the comedy business think he's funny and, while I don't have the stats in front of me, I think he's gone years without being nominated for an Emmy. That's the Emmys saying, "You suck, Jay." It's not them hating on the Tonight Show, itself.
The only thing that saves the guy is that he SO FAR, and for many years prior, he is able to attract a lot of fans who don't like anything edgy, he also has had the benefit of better lead-ins and affiliates, and he's been in LA with no real competition for guests, when a large pool of A-list stars are more often able to be booked because they live there or work there a lot. Take those advantages away and if you just went with what Jay brings to late night and he would never have even beaten Dave. And, even then, if he had stayed behind Dave and not had a lot of fortunate things happen, I know NBC wouldn't have replaced him in 6 months. I don't think they would have replaced him or thought to replace him for at least a few years and some of that would have just been because of how bad it would have looked to have lost Dave and then lost the ratings battle to him. No way they would have screwed over Jay the way they did Letterman and Conan.

Guys, he seems to have gone from full-on trolling to actually making a real argument for his point of view. No reason to go after him b/c of Rody. Hell, the first time I read it, my brain filled in the missing letters. Let's not get the thread locked.

Oh, I forgot this one point: I do find it amazing that he spelled Dangerfield correctly but not Rodney. Fascinating.

Come on Gentlemen, ripping into wm lopez over spelling, grammar, logic, counting, reasoning, or coherency issues is like tactical-nuking fish in a barrel.

Interesting that Leno went out of his way to keep Slash from getting a close-up when he was on the show performing "By The Sword" because Slash was wearing a "Team Coco" button, but he's not beneath sneaking a reference to it in one of his gags.
