Watching them eviscerate that poor hick last night was pretty fucked up. Not only were all the judges total fuckwads, but the editing of that "near-death" scene was patheticly mean.

BTW, where was the guy that was thrown in the back of a cop car? They kept showing upcoming scenes and one was where someone was arrested. I assumed it was a disgruntled contestant. But they never showed anything. Did I miss something?

Agree. That actually made me angry. Assholes.
BTW, where was the guy that was thrown in the back of a cop car? They kept showing upcoming scenes and one was where someone was arrested. I assumed it was a disgruntled contestant. But they never showed anything. Did I miss something?

I thought Mary was kinda bored by Mallory's performance, so she surprised me with her comments, and I didn't really think Mallory's vocals were all that hot, but her physical gifts pushed her across the finish line for the yellow ticket.

As far as the contestants shown on the show, here is what happens to them:
And remember Ayla Brown from Season 6, the tall girl who played basketball and whose father was a Massachusetts state legislater? She made it to the Top 14 that year. Her father is Scott Brown who just won the Massachusetts US Senate Seat vacated by Ted Kennedy. The guy all over the news.

It's been five days since Angela Martin last saw her mother, Viola Brown Martin.
After spending Christmas dinner with her family, Angela says Viola got in her car Saturday for a twenty-minute trip to visit another daughter, but never made it there.
The lack of contact is especially unnerving for Angela, because she's awaiting the start of season 9 of American Idol.
The south suburban singer seems destined for a good run on the show, given what's shown in this promotional commercial.
This is Angela's second time on Idol. She got to the second round her last go-around, despite the murder of her father just before her Los Angeles try-out.
It's a past that gnaws hard on her tonight.
Today, police found her car near the south suburbs of Riverdale and Dixmoor, nowhere near her destination five days ago.
Her boyfriend was the last to see Viola, and just hopes she's okay.
