Re: Star Trek Sheep: The Next Generation

Or if Bujold was marked as fired then I might agree that McFadden was as well, since grundlepedia says "One version of events is that she quit on the second day of filming, citing exhaustion and incompatibility with rigorous television filming schedules.[citation needed] Another version, expressed by Rick Berman, Executive Producer, on the first season Voyager DVD, is that 'There was enough going on in that first day or two that, that we realized that, for everybody's sake, that it was best to go in another direction'."

If the producers "going in another direction" means McFadden was fired, then I'd say it should mean the same for Bujold.

But thanks to a letter-writing campaign, support from Patrick Stewart, and a personal invitation from Rick Berman, McFadden was brought back to the TNG cast for the third and subsequent seasons."

I think this implies that she was fired.
Key word: "implies."

"best to go in another direction" is Hollywood-speak for "bitch was canned".

Yeah, I didn't know how far encompassing 'actor' meant, so I played it safer.

Re: Star Trek Sheep: The Next Generation

I took it as a broad definition since other questions called out "main cast", or something like that.

You realize that quote is not about Gates McFadden, but about Genevieve Bujold, right?
