Re: Star Trek Sheep: The Next Generation

when Hunter decided that he did not want to continue with the series.
I'd say it wasn't a "series" at that point. It was still just a pilot that had yet to be picked up. I vote Nay on Hunter.

Groucho: did he quit a Trek series? TOS was not picked up at that time.

Here's one of our questionable answers:

Gates McFadden

Did Gates McFadden quit, or was she fired?

Re: Star Trek Sheep: The Next Generation

Why? She quit after the 1st season. Then she came back.

Re: Star Trek Sheep: The Next Generation

I'm not sure if she quit or if the network had any say... If she did quit (for a time), that would be a darned good answer.

Re: Star Trek Sheep: The Next Generation

According to GP, Dr. Crusher was written out and only brought back at the insistence of Professor X.

However, there was one answer that was even worse than that.

Re: Star Trek Sheep: The Next Generation

What is GP? I don't recall her being written out in the S1 finale. And being "written out" doesn't necessarily mean one was fired.

I'd say Gates McFadden counts.

This means, of course, that wrong answers are worth 30 points.

McFadden was fired:

Skip ahead to around 1:35 in the interview.

By the way -- "Gates McFadden on Joan Rivers" is also a description of the worst porn in the history of the universe.

Buddy Hackett/Raymond Burr/Don Rickles three-way.

Re: Star Trek Sheep: The Next Generation

The Joan Rivers Show is not adequate proof of anything. It was on the air for 2 nanoseconds. Furthermore, I can't believe someone actually kept recordings of it.

Re: Star Trek Sheep: The Next Generation

I don't think the clip says anything, Gates seemed to be joking about it which could mean that's true or not true. She was back on the show by that point which probably means she wouldn't want to get into too many ugly details on the situation.
