The commercials for Amazon Kindle and any commercial that has a Regina Spektor or Ingrid Michaelson sound-alike chick doing the jingle (You know what I mean, anything with a piano and a baby-voiced girl) are all annoying me to the point where I'm starting to turn away from female singer-songwriters thinking it's a commercial for something I'm never going to buy! I swear, I think these guys are in a boardroom pitching away with "We need something really catchy and current and safe sounding for this...I know! That chick that they call this year's Feist--What's she doing now?"!

Fucking Cymbalta. The voice-over is oh so sympathetic, you can just hear the ache in her voice. Depression huuuurts, Cymbalta can help.

If they're making enough money off this stuff that they can advertise it on every commercial break on every station, they're making too much money off it. I'll stick with good old fashioned booze to treat my depression, thanks.
