Yeah, he was good friends with Seinfeld. I remember reading about him almost being cast as George; good thing Jason Alexander got the role. Hard to picture Larry Miller doing it nearly as well as Alexander did.

In probably the second worst episode of the series, IMO, right behind the Kramer/murder in LA episode.

The Limo definitely isn't the best episode of the series, but Suzanne Snyder's performance in that episode makes it worth watching.

another vote for Bookman

Not my favorite necessarily (Philip Baker Hall as Mr. Bookman seems a little repetitive to mention at this point but he really is the all-time best guest character) but I'm gonna mention a true one-shotter who hasn't been mentioned by anyone else and who was terrific in her one shot:

O-Lan Jones as the small town waitress in 'The Bubble Boy'.

Michael Chilkis was interesting, but he was awful "wide-eyed," as if he was a novice actor and didn't know how to look "natural."

But the character he played was interesting, to say the least. What a dick!

Watching Celebrity Apprentice the other night reminded me Marlee Matlin was a pretty accomplished guest star who played the deaf tennis lineswoman that George uses to spy on people by having her read their lips.

Wasn't Kramer in every episode?

Nope. He wasn't in the Chinese restaurant episode. Richards made a stink about it and from then on out all 4 principals were in every episode.

Oh, yeah!

And he made a stink? Insecurity, no doubt.

Actually it was Jason Alexander, not Michael Richards, who made a stink about not being in an episode - "The Pen" - which resulted in all four principle cast members being in every episode thereafter.

Way to clear that up two years later.

And I love that you were still here after asking that question

My own vote would be for Teri Hatcher

I like how David Naughton was actually a "heckler" during Jerry's stand-up segments. Nice touch.

Look, if you think this is about overdue fines and missing books, you better think again. This is about that kid's right to read a book without getting his mind warped. Or, maybe that turns you on Seinfeld. Maybe that's how you get your kicks. You and your good-time buddies. But I got a flash for you Joy Boy: party time is over.

rotfl

Just watched 'The Library' (for the millionth time) and Philip Baker Hall as Bookman never gets old.

The guy who 'gave' Jerry 'The Pen'.

Marla, the Virgin. Not necessarily the actress or the character, but the idea itself was lights out.

Even though Uncle Leo was in many an episode (as a 'guest star'), he always cracked me up.

Although I think he's a lousy comedian and he had a hand in ruining The Simpsons, I always liked Dana Gould as "The Summer George"

Frankie: "Is this Seinfeld's van? Seinfeld's van?!"
George's Cousin: "What did he say?"
George: "I think he said 'son of Sam'!. *running from the van* "I knew it wasn't Berkowitz!
