Bookman
Alton Benes (I love the story about Tierney obviously stealing a butcher knife from the set and generally intimidating the cast and crew)

How could we go this whole thread and not see a mention of Jimmy?

Jimmy's gonna get you, Kramer!
Don't touch Jimmy!

I always liked James Spader's appearance, especially when he climbs in the ice cream cooler at the end. Lloyd Bridges was pretty good too.

Do people really not understand what a guest star is? Seems some are just posting memorable characters.

Larry Miller definitely. I love the veiled hostility towards Jerry, especially when Jerry happens to pass by his building.

"What, you work here too?"
"Oh, I see. Poor doorman has to work two jobs to put food on the table for mother and baby. No, I live here. That's okay, isn't it?"

By the way, the Gay Bully Couple were in 3 episodes. They also appeared in the Puerto Rican Parade episode.

The guy who won't look at his watch to give George the time while he's waiting to pick up Jerry at the airport.

OP's Michael Chiklis appeared in Seinfeld two months after The Commish started. Can he really be considered a guest star?

I'd say you're splitting hairs here. Cut some slack dude.

I wasn't the one getting on others for posting non-stars.

He's a star nonetheless. Point to me where the bizarro Jerry group got work elsewhere. Hell one of their real names would be enough. Bubble boy? Milos? The gay thugs? The Jimmy? The Soup Nazi? That's just a few examples.

... not a star, not a star, not stars, not a star, not a star.

 Maybe it's just me, but favorite 'one off' characters is a clearly different topic than favorite 'one off' guest stars.

Everyone who makes a guest appearance is a guest star. If they are well-known or have a special significance then they are billed as "Special" guest star. It's like that for every show, so in this case the only thing that anyone has gotten wrong with this thread is listing people who appeared more than once.

For the record:

Bizarro Kramer was Mad TV actor Pat Kilbane, Bizarro Jerry was Tim DeKay, who I remember as a reverend from Everwood (who eventually went blind and divorced his wife), Anthony Starke (The Jimmy) I remember from season 3 of ANGEL and this past season's CSI. Milos (Mark Harelik) is an actor I can't stand, and has been on ANGEL, Star Trek Voyager, and other things and I've been annoyed with him every time I see him. Bubble Boy was an anonymous voice (!)

The Soup Nazi got famous for being the Soup Nazi, so that sort of worked in reverse.

The OP said no more than 3 appearances, so I'm not sure how "wrong" they are.

Then he was wrong about the title: "Your favorite ONE-SHOT Seinfeld guest star", one-shot meaning only one appearance on the show.

Either the title is wrong or his no more than 3 appearances is wrong.

Stephen Root as the bank manager would be my favorite, for obvious reasons.

I understand that, but given the example of Michael Chikilis in the first post I took it to mean people that are, or eventually became somewhat famous since being on Seinfeld otherwise it's merely a favorite character discussion.

I guess Buttmunker is the only one that can clear this up.

 Love that shot. Technically, Larry D. wasn't a one-shot deal, since he was the voice of George Steinbrenner in numerous episodes.

I don't think he was just the voice, I'm pretty sure he wore a toupee and was Steinbrenner. He was also the guy talking to the NBC executive that went to protest the boats in the orange raft to get Elaine's respect. And the voice of the subway announcer in the TV Guide episode. After watching Curb Your Enthusiasm and getting back into Seinfeld via reruns, it's obvious any time Larry David plays someone on- or off-camera. None ever really sounded like Steinbrenner at the time, but it's easy to pick up now.
