Heroes -- "An Invisible Thread" -- Season 3 Finale -- 4/27/09

Heroes

Synopsis:

Spoiler:

Nathan takes on Sylar in order to shield the president in the third-season finale. Elsewhere, Hiro discovers unexpected side effects from recovering his ability, and Matt takes extreme measures to protect his family.

Is anyone here actually even looking forward to Monday's season finale? It's been such an up and down season. Will probably not watch this right away.

I'll watch it as soon as possible. The quicker I watch, the quicker it's over. Kind of like how I eat the vegetables first to get them out of the way of the main dish. I don't plan on going back to this show after tomorrow, so I'm kind of happy to be able to delete the season pass. Good riddance horrible writers and have fun making excuses for this season and how it'll all be different the next time around.

I am. I have a gut feeling that one character will die in the finale. I'm thinking both Nathan and Sylar could and that Peter regains his ability.

Prediction: Everyone got sick of Baby Matt Parkman really quickly. This leads me to believe he'll be featured prominently in the finale. Ando will supercharge the baby, make his stupid elf face and the baby will temporarily "turn on" Hiro and Peter's full powers, so they can actually fight and [seemingly] kill Sylar.

I'm one of the suckers that is still looking forward to it. I've conditioned myself to turn all critical skills off when this comes on, so I still enjoy it quite a bit.

Same as dino.

Has anyone been following the online comics? I used to follow them in season one and really liked them and and thought they were companion to the show.
I think there are also some kind of webisodes or something like that, but I haven't checked them either.

Same here, one less thing to clog up my DVR. I wish I could say that I am willing to give it up next season, as the ratio of good episodes is now greatly eclipsed by that of bad ones, but I can't jump off just yet.

That being said, I definitely see myself as being part of the problem with Heroes, in that I still tune in despite the constant deterioration of plotlines. I think many of us still watch out of some sort of obligation to a program that we initially enjoyed. That's the way I feel, at least; not to speak for all of you who may still find some enjoyment out of Heroes.

Is this a 2-hour finale, or just a regular 1-hour?

I'm done after this. NBC would be foolish to renew this show in its current state.

I think they did. I heard Parkman talking on an interview and he said
Spoiler:
that next season there will be no more time travel, and that everyone will be back as everyday people trying to cope with how to handle their powers and normal life. He also said someone is going to die (but this time for good)

Re: Heroes -- "An Invisible Thread" -- Season 3 Finale -- 4/27/09

Can anyone explain to me why Sylar did not die when Noah shot him in the back of the head when he was in the shape of the agent and then again when Danko stabbed him in the back of the head? My only guess is that his ability to shapeshift and reconstruct himself allowed him to move the sweet spot somewhere else (as evidenced with the formation of his new tooth). Anybody?

Noah shot him in the back (not in the back of the head) hoping to prove he was Sylar. When everyone saw him heal they would know the truth.

When the knife went in your explination is good, or Danko missed the spot.

It's already been renewed. Regardless how good or bad the show is it still gets modest ratings and appeals to the perfect demographics for advertisers. Hoping Chuck is the same...

Damn, I really enjoyed it.

Although I am a bit confused. If Peter absorbed Sylar's powers, why wasn't his forehead healing?

Sorry, but that was disappointing for me. Maybe it was the way it was executed or something but wow, the last few minutes were lame. So Sylar is now actually "Nathan" and Matt now has the power to control and inject memories from who knows where? What? My head hurts

Ali Larter, back yet again? That's my only real complaint. The fact that they still haven't truly killed anybody off.

Matt didn't inject the memories, they came from Syars ability stolen from Ma patreli. He forced Sylar to forget his memories

I can't believe that Nathan has "died" in all three finales now without actually dying. Ridiculous.

I'm just mad we once again didn't get to see the big battle between Sylar and Peter (and Nathan).
