Why are people wondering if Ben and Sun are actually in 2007? Of course they are. That's been obvious since their first scenes a few episodes ago.

Not to mention the fact it said "Thirty years earlier"

I also thought they were gonna do some Frequency type stuff, where someone in the 77 would talk with someone in 08.

The way I took Sawyer acting towards Jack was that he didnt care so much about him anymore. At one point in the conversation he refers to the D.I. as "My people". I got the impression that Sawyer has been happy for 3 years working with Dharma and living with Juliette and does not want to be bothered by the Losties anymore and could possibly turn against them.

I agree. i think they are setting Locke up for a villainous turn soon. I think Faraday is going to cause the "incident' somehow, maybe as a way to try to save Charlotte.

I think Rose and Bernard are Adam and Eve. And i think Jack is going to turn out to be Jacob. I don't really have any concrete evidence for it. I just have that feeling.

I agree that most definitely they are in that time frame, but one thing worth noting from last night's episode is that they did travel through time, at least a small amount. When the plane hit the disturbance, it was night, and when it passed through, it was daytime.

To me it was more of Sawyer getting tired of playing second string to Jack all the time. Sawyer has survived in his life because of his street smarts and because he thinks before he acts. Sawyer doesn't want Jack to screw things and get themselves killed because Jack wants to fulfill some kind of retribution.

I posted that too at some point, although my example was Star Trek: TNG Cause and Effect.

Yeah, it's crap compared to the MASTERPIECES that were seasons 2-4. I thought introducing a number of characters only to kill them off shortly thereafter was BRILLIANT.

Well, yes. The people left behind on the plane MUST have also time travelled in order to return to the island when the Oceanic Six departed. It was noted that more time had passed in the "real world" than while they were on the island. So they also had to travel back a little bit.

Great episode but damn those plane landing scenes at the beginning were PAINFULLY bad special effects. Surely with the budget of this show they could do better and if not just leave it to our imagination.

Re: Lost -- "Namaste" -- 03/18/09

So Ben said that they had to recreate their situations as close as they can to when they first made the trip right? So I'm thinking:

Jack = Jack; bringing a dead body along
Hurley = Charlie w/ the guitar case and all. Why he couldn't just be "original" Hurley, I dunno.
Sayid = Kate; in "shackles" and escorted by an authoritative figure
Kate = Shannon; single, hot lady

So I think the reason Sun didn't go back is, she wasn't anybody in the original flight. The only main cast left is Claire and Sun's not pregnant anymore. But what if...Juliette was lying to her when she said that the baby was conceived on the island? What if Sun WAS pregnant during that original flight?

I freaking love this show.

Great episode last night! I was wondering if you guys could help me understand the 2004-2007 timeline as my brain is as swiss cheesed as Sam Beckett's with all this time travel.

Everyone that was on the island when Ben turned the wheel in 2004 went through those time jumps right (Rose, Bernard, background losties)?

When do we think that fire arrow raid happened on the beach and who was behind it?

So as of now, there isn't anyone on the island in 2004 that was "left behind" and has been there for the 3 years that Sun, Ben, etc were gone?

Way back in season two, when Michael was given a list of names (Jack, Kate, Hugo, James), I wonder if that has anything to do with them having been members of DHARMA in 1977?

Actually, I have it on good authority that Vincent is advising Richard Alpert.:p

How else did he know to find Locke?

Don't worry, most of those questions are still open. We should know the answer to all of them by the end of the series next year. Maybe.

Really liked the episode. But wasn't a big fan of Jack and Sawyer's fight. I mean, they just traveled back 30 years, wow!, and they are with Dharma now, wow!, and Jack goes with Sawyer and has this Jr. High fight...

I think they showed an episode where Ben instructed Eye Patch to get background information on them once Ethan had given them a list of the people on the plane. Plus the O6 hadn't traveled back in time yet and met Young Ben so he wouldn't have had that memory at the time Oceanic 815 crashed on the island. As evidenced by Desmond "sudden" memory flash right after Faraday talked to him.

So, any bets on where, or mas specifically, when Desmond is?

Desmond or Faraday? We have no reason to think Desmond is anywhere but where/when we last saw him.

maybe Ben wouldn't have gotten a sudden memory flash at that time, but didn't the list come from Jacob?
