Spoiler:

A qoute from a while back:

What someone else recently figured out:

Nadler is Rose and Bernard's last name.

Rather interesting. But if that's the case and it does turn out to be true...
Spoiler:
I sure as hell hope the black and white rocks have deeper meaning than what race they were. Because that's the part of the theory that bugs me the most. Not so much what characters are Adam and Eve, but what the rocks symbolize. Maybe they were never really meant to symbolize anything, but even if it turns out to be something deeper only Rose and Bernard know about then that's OK as long as the writers share it with the rest of us.

And I still think it's a crappy way to write them out of the show. They've barely been in it since I don't remember when and this is the way they go about it? As O'Riley would say, "f'nig thing SUCKS!"

Also, if it moved through time, what is it going to do, land on itself?

The only thing that has moved through time was the losties and some of the stuff they had on them.

Alright, I can buy this. Christian said the island needed to be moved by Locke then Ben turned the wheel off its' axis and caused the time traveling as well as the island physically relocating. This is when the island disappeared. Since the whole idea around the Orchid station is studies in time travel, it makes sense that the wheel is designed to move objects through time and space. The survivors got bounced around while the Others stayed in the present. Ben was escaping the island, knowing what was going to happen to the people who stayed there.

The question is: when Locke turned the wheel back on its' axis did that move the island again to a different place or back to where it was visible so Widmore could find it? Is it just the turn of the wheel that moves the island around to various locations?

For those following this, Damon and Carlton admitted to their mistake on the continuity for Charlotte.

Re: Lost -- "Namaste" -- 03/18/09

I'd be surprised if they don't work around it in season six by giving Charlotte's mother a reason to fake documents on her when they left Dharma. When Charlotte is 'outted' by Ben in the first or second episode of Season 4 he clearly states her name that she was born in 1979, in Essex England.

There are other continuity errors that I think are much bigger. First, Walt mentions to Hurley in season 4 that Locke visited him as Jeremy Bentham, yet in season five Locke never even mentioned that name to Walt. In the season 4 finale, Jack is standing over Locke's coffin when Ben enters the room. Ben asks Jack if Locke mentioned that he (Ben) was off the island now and Jack stated that Locke told him. Locke didn't even see Ben until after his visit with Jack, when Ben strangled him.

Yeah, I know. Those are even bigger continuity errors. I am still waiting for them to address them.

But Locke knew Ben was off the island from the point Ben moved the island with the frozen donkey wheel. He didn't need to see him again to know that.

It wasn't that Locke didn't know Ben was off the island. It was that Locke didn't mention it to Jack in the conversation we saw.

The interesting thing to note is that Ben turned the wheel in the present but Locke could still fix it in the past. Whatever time they flashed to would probably result in the wheel still acting up, yet the island didn't seem to move again after Locke fixed it. This is the only problem that happened in the present that we have seen fixed in the past.

I don't think the island moved again though. I think the island just wanted Locke to travel to the main land to get the 06 so it course-corrected so Locke would have to turn the wheel.

Yeah, these mistakes were really glaring - even I noticed them right away. You would think whoever is in charge of continuity would've caught them. I guess they must have missed it since there is a lot going on plot-wise. Still, it's kind of disappointing they are getting sloppy with some of the details.

Any continuity issues surrounding Ben can pretty much be explained away by "He lies"

I had a lengthy discussion with a friend pertaining to Ben meeting the gang when he was a child. I know plenty of you have more of a grasp than I do on this show, so I wanted to ask something.

Since we now know Ben knew Jack and co. when he was a kid, meaning that's the explanation as to why he knew about them in the earlier seasons....

IF Jack and co. never left the island, how would they have gotten back to the past to meet Ben as a kid? Ben tells Jack they're not supposed to leave, etc. So if they didn't, and everything stayed the same, how would Ben have met them as a child? Since up until this season, we know he already met them growing up. His life hasn't experienced any of the jumping around, unless I'm mistaken. Once he got to the island as a kid (as we saw in his flashback), technically, Jack and crew are there somewhere. So he has met them twice. If they never left the island later, how is it possible he met them as a child?

I guess what I posted makes sense. I'm confusing myself the more I think about this show.

It's easy to understand. Remember what Faraday said: "Whatever happened, happened."

Jack & co had to leave the island and end up in the past because they had already been in the past.

The same way Sawyer & crew did. They would have been time jumping with the rest of them.

I think the proof that the island absolutely had to have moved again after Locke turned the wheel (or got it back on track) was the fact that it was visible in 2008 for the survivors of flight 316. If it hadn't moved there would've simply been ocean out there as Frank flew out of the turbulent storm.

It isn't visable until you fly near it regardless of the wheel. Hawkings chose flight 316 because that is where she calculated the island to be.

So? Am I missing something in this conversation? Faraday said "Whatever Happened, Happened" just two episodes ago before he saw Charlotte. It's neat though that they have an episode coming up entitled that.

Exactly...the course correction has begun. For some reason, Sun's course didn't need to be corrected by sending her back to 1977.

Shot of Sun in the cabin with Christian.

I watched this again with some TV adjustments and it looks like a crew member got stuck in the shot. It's a woman with a short-sleeve black shirt that might say CATS on it in white letters (from the musical). She has medium-length blond or red hair and is standing behind some boxes with her right arm resting on one of them. During the shot she turns her head toward Sun. When you watch this in normal lighting conditions, you can see a slight movement behind Sun when the woman turns her head.

There's really no way this can be a character in the show. It's a mistake.
