Re: Lost -- "Namaste" -- 03/18/09

Good to have it back after a week off.

BTW, just noticed that this episode was co-written by Paul Zbyszewski, who created Day Break, which filled in for Lost for a few weeks 2 years ago before it was cancelled. Kind of ironic that he joins the production staff of this show.

This show has been so great this season, it's finally back to the "can't wait" status it hasn't had for me since S1.

The question is, do you have your clue notebook up to date and ready to go?

It has to be really good, they are giving all the answers to all the puzzles, or most of them. I can only imagine how good the last season is going to be.

Re: Lost -- "Namaste" -- 03/18/09

We still have a LOT of answers to come before the series ends. All one needs to do to be reminded of this is look at Lostpedia. And for someone like me, I don't even need to be reminded of the mysteries still at play...

But you guys are right. Lost is awesome right now. And we are definitely heading in the right direction.

Re: Lost -- "Namaste" -- 03/18/09

I think this season's been excellent except for the episode where Jack & the crew end up back on the island. Lousy execution, no sense of wonder whatsoever. The Locke & Sawyer episodes blow this one out of the water by a country mile.

Sadly, one of the weakest episodes of the entire SERIES.

Here are your spoilers for tonight's episode.

Spoiler:

Episode 5.09: Namaste
Airdate: March 18, 2009

* new 03/14 - Ben and Sun return with Frank but things go differently for them. Christian Shepard shows the other O6 and Jin dressed in Dharma suits in an old 1970s photo. Amy is Ethan's mother (My source assumes that Amy is Amelia who we saw in the book club in the Season 3 Premiere). Jin and Sawyer see the first half of the Oceanic 6. The reaction is emotional. Source: Lost Spoilers
* 03/06 - When some old friends drop in unannounced, Sawyer is forced to further perpetuate his lie in order to protect them. Guest starring are John Terry as Christian Shephard, Jeff Fahey as Frank Lapidus, Francois Chau as Dr. Marvin Candle, Said Taghmaoui as Caesar, Zuleikha Robinson as Ilana, Reiko Aylesworth as Amy, Sterling Beaumon as young Ben, Patrick Fischler as Phil, Molly McGivern as Rosie, Eric Lange as Radzinsky, Dan Gauthier as co-pilot and Sven Lindstrom as photographer. Source: ABC
* 02/08 - Jin and Swayer see the first half of the Oceanic 6. The reaction is emotional to the return. Jack talks to Marvin Candle. Juliet and Sawyer are living together. Source: Lost Spoilers
* 12/04/2008 - We have gotten the confirmation that [recurring character Marty Jankowsky] will be played by Eric Lange and that he will appear in at least two episodes. [...] As of now it seems like Marty will be a character with off-island scenes. Source: Lost Spoilers
* 11/20/2008 - Marty Jankowsky: 40s to 50s, Caucasian, very smart and controlling. Marty has his own way of doing things and god help you if you cross him and/or try to alter his very precise process. A deep and free thinker he uses his fierce intellect as a weapon. Possible recur. Jack Ross: 30s, any ethnicity. A former air force bomber pilot who now uses his professional skills and unflappable demeanor to maintain order in a highly chaotic environment. He's smart, professional and competent. He keeps his wits as those around him in a crisis are losing theirs. Source: Lost Spoilers

Episode spoilers belong in the episode thread. General "OMG I heard something about the casting" talk belong elsewhere.

Re: Lost -- "Namaste" -- 03/18/09

I also love having the spoilers in the episode threads as well as everyone's speculation of what's to come after the episode airs. It makes these threads fun to revisit and see who was on the right track and who was spouting gibberish. Don't like the spoilers? Don't click on them!

Spoiler:
Based on those casting spoilers, tonight's episode sounds like it'll be pretty epic.

Re: Lost -- "Namaste" -- 03/18/09

It's not just that spoilers are being posted, it's the discussion that surrounds them. Somebody will post a spoiler and then some moron will post something not so obscure like "I bet I know who it's going to be!" or "I knew they would bring him back!" and then everybody has an inkling about what's going to happen, what's the difference if you post spoilers here or there? At least if you post them somewhere else the people who don't like any spoilers won't be troubled.

There's a difference between theories and spoilers, spoilers are known facts about what is upcoming in the series while theories are just hypothesized.

Yeah, I don't mind speculation or theories on what's going to happen next, I just think that known or confirmed spoilers for future episodes should be put in that Lost spoiler thread.

Holy shit, if it's spoilered and they tell you in general terms what's hidden, just DON'T FUCKING READ IT. Holy fuck, I don't understand why we keep discussing this. All you have to do is NOT click on a button. You can NOT click on a spoiler thread, why is a post here so much more of an endurance trial for you???
