I like Clash of the Gods, but the constant reuse of footage gets old quick. I'm sure if I counted I would see several shots over a dozen times for each episode. I wouldn't mind so much but the narration/interviews also seems to be stretching the content a little thin too. I wish they packed in more info.

Oh yea I think Clash of the Gods was a great show and tons better than Battles. I liked how the gods looked a bit cheesy with the makeup, but it was kinda cool.
The new show is Emperors Behaving Badly and I just saw the Caligula episode. Not too shabby, I just didnt like all the modern shots with cars and Italian locals

unfortunately only on standard DVD, March of next year. I'd love for A&E/History Channel to get it's butt into gear and release more of their home video releases on bluray - this series in particular screams out for a hidef release - I shot both History Channel and it's parent company a slightly annoyed emails regarding their flipflopping release pattern.

How about "Disapearing Ancients"? I dont think theyre showing this damn show anymore! I missed the one I wanted to see the most (Ceaser) and they never reran it. Now I checked and they dont have the show scheduled!
