the episode did have it right that there is a theory that they Jews were mercenaries employed by Egypt to fight the Hittites. I've heard another theory that Moses was an Egyptian prince who lead a group of people who were religiously prosecuted out of Egypt.
Supposedly monotheism started in southern egypt and was the national religion for a few decades until Ramses came along
otherwise that's how war was waged back then. all the famous people we learn about from that time were like that.

I know this series is about BC Battles but think how good this series would be in other areas of history. I was thinking of the American Indian wars over the weekend, Crazy Horse, Red Cloud, Cochise, Sitting Bull, Roman Nose, etc. Then you have the Fetterman Massacare, Little Big Horn, etc. That would be great.

I think if Patton 360 would step up their "360" hook a little bit it would be a lot better. I like their use of actual combatant interviews, recreations, weapon details, and traditional battle maps, but from the intro it looked like they would be using more computer renderings/simulations to give a better understanding of what the battlefield looked like on the ground. So far I don't think they've utilized that aspect very well. Battlefield BC often does a much better job setting the stage for the battles, even if you ignore the often silly 300-like reenactments.

Moses was a general and a murderer of women and children. But his depravities of warfare pale in comparison to those of the prophet Mohammad.
But since the religion of peace has a stranglehold on political correctness, the greatest murderer and executioner of on era, Mohammad's story of violent conquest in the name of god, will never be told.
It would be a chilling episode of Battles BC, one which would show the pure carnage that Muhammad wreaked upon the world.
Too bad, it be bad ass.

Kinda' weird that they airied the biblical Jewish leaders (David, Joshua, Moses) in reverse of the actual timeline. Seems like there would have been some added context the other way. Like when they spoke at the end of the Moses episode about Joshua now taking over, which of course was covered in an episode that already aired.

^ I thought the title for the Ramses episode is kind of funny "Ramses: Raging Chariots" - sounds like a Chi Chi La Rue video.

The Marathon episode was pretty good. It was kind of funny seeing the spliced in scenes from the 300 special in this.
The commercial's for this during Patton 350 said it was the series finale so doesn't look like they are going to do anymore.

but the last Battles BC ad before the 50min mark, did say something regarding to 'more' episodes - what that means is speculative and a tad vague. The Marathon episode was great IMO.

^ yes, but it's unfortunate History Channel is not releasing a bluray of this considering it's very visual.
I gather they are making a Season 2, but nothing's confirmed yet.

Well I finally bought the DVD for this Battles BC series and it's even better than watching them the first time. I guess after the lull of the series being over and then buying the DVD and watching it has peaked my intrest in this series again. Is there ever a Season 2 in the works?

Clash of the Gods had AMAzing visuals - better than Battles BC IMO. Have to watch the bad emperors show - that sounds intriguing too, what's the name of the show, I'm not seeing it listed on History Channel's website. I caught a show last weekend about the elaborate boats that Caligula made and sank in Lake Nemi - fascinating!

Thanks for the heads up on Clash of the Gods. I watched the first one about Hercules online at History.com and thought it was great! (I think the legend of the 12 labors of Hercules would make a great movie and don't understand why nobody has ever done it as they are written.)

unfortunately only on standard DVD, March of next year. I'd love for A&E/History Channel to get it's butt into gear and release more of their home video releases on bluray - this series in particular screams out for a hidef release - I shot both History Channel and it's parent company a slightly annoyed emails regarding their flipflopping release pattern.

Oh yea I think Clash of the Gods was a great show and tons better than Battles. I liked how the gods looked a bit cheesy with the makeup, but it was kinda cool.
The new show is Emperors Behaving Badly and I just saw the Caligula episode. Not too shabby, I just didnt like all the modern shots with cars and Italian locals
