Thanks for spoiling that for me.

So, why was Ben all beat up?

How did Sayid and Hugo end up on the plane?

What did Kate do with the kid that's so bad we can't even ask?
and apparently being a genius yourself you quoted the post with the spoiler in it.

Re: Lost -- "316" -- 2/18/09

ok 2 questions....
1- didnt anyone think to ask Ben how he got all beat up. Him and jack sat in the plane and had an entire conversation with Ben's face all bruised up and his arm in a sling and Jack didnt think to ask what happened?
2-what was the point of reinacting the original plane crash to return to the island if the window was already open to get therre?

I think she was one of his handlers when he was undercover with that terrorist sleeper cell.

So what is the significance of Jack ending up at the same spot in the jungle as before? I always found it odd that he ended up so far from everybody else in the original crash.

Assuming the last thing Sawyer said to Kate on the helicopter had to do with his daughter and her mother; do you think Kate left Aaron with her and is just heartbroken about leaving someone who was essentially her son?

I think they didn't want to explain why Walt ages so fast, although they did figure out a storyline to show why Hurley is still fat despite being on a "deserted" island.

Two possibilities.

1. Kate wanted to go back but wanted to follow the visions of Claire telling her not to bring Aaron back.
2. Kate did something stupid again.

Re: Lost -- "316" -- 2/18/09

I was also thinking about the why Ben wants them all to go back.

When Locke donkey wheeled himself off the island the rest of the losties were left behind. Given the dharma flashes we keep seeing throughout the season it's safe to assume they spend some time stuck in the dharma era. Is it possible that Ben knows this from his childhood and wants to get them all back to the island, so he can kill them during the purge?

Just a thought....maybe Future Jacob = Jack? It would have been one big happy family in the cabin with Jack[ob], Claire, and Christian. I know, crazy talk.

Re: Lost -- "316" -- 2/18/09

One thing we forget is that "time jumping" only affects those on the Island and in proximity to the Island.

The O6+Ben+Lapidus flashed down to the Island when they were in proximity to it in the plane.

If a few other passengers Flash through the time and wind up on the Island, then they must be returning too. Why or when they were on the Island, we do not know.

I'm starting to agree with the camp that says that Jacob is actually...
Spoiler:
Locke.

So...is Kate pregnant? Taking the place of Claire, thus eliminating the need for Aaron?

Unlike Dharma that basically forced themselves on the island, the island brought the Losties there. So I think they serve a purpose to the island somehow and Ben isn't going to screw that up by trying to kill them all. We've seen far too many times that the things he had to do was to protect the better interests of the island and those who serve a purpose there. His angry parent rant last week drove that point home very well. He's not interested in killing them.

I think Ben sees himself as losing favor with the island/Jacob somehow and perhaps he feels bringing them all back will help him regain Jacob's favor?

Re: Lost -- "316" -- 2/18/09

Here's my last crazy thought for the night:

Seems likely that the plane did crash. But in the time line it was currently in (3 years after rescue.) Sawyer and everybody found stuff from that flight in what appeared to their future.

Here's the crazy part... what if the first Oceanic flight served a similar purpose? What if there were people on that flight as well who were trying to return to the island and they were sucked through time like Jack, Hurley and Kate were tonight?

Interesting. Would that then make the 2 new people and the other "tallies" the people from the boat that were shooting at the losties a couple of weeks ago?

Like shooting Locke and leaving him for dead? I think it's pretty obvious that Ben doesn;t want to give up his power, and Richard's actions behind his back are proof of it.

what do you mean by first oceanic flight, the one under water? ah never mind i get what you're saying.

i already forgot about the washed ashore stuff, guess it did crash.

can't we theorize that the 815 was flying over the island and just was an accident that they were all on that particular plane.

because it seems like just coincidence that the 316
was flying over were the island was going to be.

meaning that the island personally had nothing to do with 815 falling onto the island.
just happened to be same place at the same time.

Good idea but who? They never introduced any other characters from the original flight and I'm afraid they would Nikki and Paulo the situation up. It is possible though because Jack woke up the same way after both crashes.

I agree the actual plane and new redshirts crashed in the present. They are probably fighting with the leftover Others who are not flashing through time.

Re: Lost -- "316" -- 2/18/09

So you guys think JUST the O6 (or O5 +/- Ben and others) flashed to the past, and the rest just crashed in the present (3 years after the O6 rescue)?

That picture of the island Jack was looking at...almost 50 years to the day before 815 crashed, eh?

Maybe if we go back in time to the right space, Nikki and Paulo will be alive! Oh, happy day!
