Bunch of "convicts" crashing a plane somewhere unknown and trying to escape captivity?

It's either Con-Air Redux or LOST + Prison Break + Heroes = GREATEST IDEA EVER?

Seiously, though. I still enjoy the show and am looking forward to where it goes from here.

A plane crash could have been a great way to get rid of 80% of the cast at the same time. Total reboot.

I thought that having Mohinder just happen to pick up Peter in his cab was way too much of a coincidence - I figured he had to be working with HRG.

Is Zeljko Ivanek now the go-to guy for slimy characters?

According to TVGuide, Ali Larter does not want out of her contract and in fact Fuller has big story plans for her next season.

I hope so. He's just so damn good at it.

She does want out of her contract but NBC won't let her. I'm sure NBC told Fuller to give her more of a role in the last few episodes of the Season because
Spoiler:
she apparently dies...

If Mohinder is working with HRG I don't think he would be one of the captured Heroes involved with the plane crash.

That's what he was saying. He found it to be a weird coincidence, and figured Mohinder was working for HRG, but was surprised when he wasn't.

It was pretty firmly established, since he lost his super-strength when he absorbed a new power.

Is this the type of series where I could just start with this season and not miss much or is there a lot of back/origin story where I would be lost?

There is a lot of back story but none of it really matters since things get reset and ignored and forgotten all the time.

The stock answer would be you need to watch from the beginning, mostly to see everyone's powers and origins.

The actual answer is, those of us who have watched from the beginning are pretty lost, so it probably doesn't matter.

For the most part I think you should watch season 1 to get a grasp on the characters and then just go right into Vol. 4: Fugitives. Sure you could skip ahead and just start watching now, but there is little character development these days (it's all plot driven) so you won't have any vested interest in any of the characters.

Discovered that the new episodes are being shown on cable channel G4 the same week they are first shown on NBC: EST 10:00pm on Tuesdays, then 6:00PM on Wednesdays.

As for Sylar and his parentage: we'll probably learn that he's actually Dick Cheney's illegitimate son.

You know what, it makes sense. Peter has always been a complete fucking idiot so that was no different for him.

Someone mentioned they are glad Kring was writing this episode. Still glad? He is no better than any other hack. If it wasn't for Fuller coming back, I would have turned off this episode halfway through and been done with the show for good. Good job NBC, you have suckered me in for a while longer.
I agree. Matt and Claire seem to be getting worse in the acting department. And is it me, or does it look like Claire is wearing a wig?

That can be fixed easily. "Well, originally we thought you were twins, and then we realized you were triplets, but we were wrong about that too, you're actually quadruplets"

Was it? Perhaps since he didn't know what powers he was absorbing he accidentally started using the ice power. I don't remember Peter ever using more than one power at a time, even though he had them. So to say we know he lost the other powers is a bit premature at this point.

I mentioned the Claire wig in my 1st post.

I think Hayden chopped off her hair and had been sporting a wig this entire season. I remember in the Heroes countdown episode to the season premiere back in September and Hayden's hair was probably chin length at best.

I'm pretty sure he's used his powers together before. I can't remember a specific example, but I think he's done it.

The fact that there is now a visual indication that he has absorbed a power (the "static electricity" thing) seems to me to show that they are saying that his power is different now.

I'm thinking it might be explained in the next episode.

Re: Heroes -- "A Clear & Present Danger" -- Vol. 4: Fugitives -- 2/2/09

Finally finished watching this tonight. I thought it was a good start to Volume 4.

Hayden's wig is starting to bug the crap out of me.

The scene at the hanger and the fight scene in the plane were pretty good. However, I agree with Michael that the score was very weak.

Loved seeing Ando being a chick magnet with the Ando Cycle.

Crossing my fingers for the next 12 weeks.
