And ditto all the comments about how awesome this ep. was. The last 15 minutes was some of the best TV I've ever seen. Great stuff.

Without a DOUBT the best ep of the season and one of the best of the series.. I can't believe they had Shane get caught, and while he was in the barn even!
So, really.. What is Vic and Ronnie's only way out of this? It would have to be to kill BOTH Shane and his wench wife.. She's not going to go quietly if they would just kill Shane..
What do you expect? They are now FUGITIVES! If she didn't do that they how would they get the intel they are "supposed" to be getting from Vic?
Oh, and to

Also, I just thought.. Shane already has one kid AND his wife is currently pregnant.. I think her being pregnant is for a reason.. Maybe Vic comes down to having to kill both but can't do it because Mara is pregnant.

Loved this episode. Agree with pretty much everyone that this was the best episode of the season and probably one of the best of the series.

There is no way that Vic and Ronnie can inflict their brand of justice on Shane, considering she's pregnant and that they have a 2-year old. That certainly makes things more complicated.

The biggest question going into the last season was what would happen to Vic? He lost both his badge and family already, with five episodes still left! I think they'll go in another direction to determine Shane's fate. Vic won't kill a child. It would destroy the moral ambiguity of the character.

Well from Julian's perspective, he had reason to be suspicious of Shane. Shane kept trying to throw Julian off the scent all day, by saying "I'll check this out, you stay here" stuff like that.
And speaking of old ghosts, I'm wondering if Tevon will make a second appearance this season. It seems like if he does, Vic and Ronnie will have a new ally if they choose.
Oh yeah, and I half expected Cassidy to be listening in on the "Vic killed Terry, stole money" stuff that Mara was telling Corrine. If that had happened, I would have been a little disappointed, since we'd have to see more of her getting all pissy.
And when Corinne told Vic and Ronnie what Mara told her, and she asked whether all of "it" were true (including Terry), why didn't Vic try to tell her that Shane killed Lem? That would have cleared up a lot of things for her. Convenient that Mara left that part out.

I think the conversation with Corinne played out the way it did because nobody had the time or inclination to go point by point. Vic has done some shit he shouldn't have, and there is no denying that even if you can poke holes in some specifics. I think it also went that way because Vic knows Corinne well enough that he knows she will believe him over Mara and Shane.

The biggest key to what might happens lies with Dutch.
"Shane Vendrell???" - Puzzled and shocked face
So far we have been waiting to see how they would end things for Dutch. Other than Claudette they really have not brought up his rocky relationship with the Strike Team. Remember, Dutch could't stand Shane from the very first episode. He still does not know who robbed the money train or who killed Lem, both of which were his cases. The writers even made a huge point to show Dutch as the primary detective.
I think Dutch will be examine everything over, look at Kavanaugh's notes, and figure out that Shane did not have a tail that night, and thus was a suspect in Lem's death. Shane was against Vic as Lem's killer from day one, and even suggested as much to Kavanaugh. Now that he knows Shane is capable of trying to kill a cop he'll connect the dots.

Just got finished watching this episode. Best episode this season. If i had to rate a top 3 i would go with:
#3 season 1 opener
#2 season 5 finale
#3 this episode.
I really hope this show sweeps the emmys. They definately deserve it.
