Alec Baldwin was the funniest part of the show. The Mark Wahlberg bit just fell flat, they did a crossover on Kimmel for that weak payoff?
And, of course, the normal Bush-bashing and Obama-fellating.

They brought enough guest "stars" on this show and it still wasn't that great. Sarah Palin, Mark Wahlberg, Alec Baldwin, Oliver Stone and the best part ended up being Amy Poehler rap on WU.

o my god how stupid can she be....sarah palin is an idiot and she further proved it tonight. Not only is she not funny, but also, she hasn't a clue that she was being made a fool....the woman is not fit to lick america's boots.

Fartface was the worst.
Josh Brolin had his moments in that Suzy Orman sketch.
The first Macgruber and the one with the gold ball were funny.
Amy Poehler was great as always and she not Kristen Wiig is the most talented member on the cast and she has the worst sketches and the most annoying repeating characters.
The musical guest Adele was boring.
I thought that sketch with the Greg Allmen perfume was early Springsteen since the music sounded like the Boss.

"No, YOU'RE the Fartface!!" "No, YOU'RE the Fartface!!"
"No, YOU'RE the Fartface!!" "No, YOU'RE the Fartface!!"
"No, YOU'RE the Fartface!!" "No, YOU'RE the Fartface!!"
I've taken dumps that were more entertaining than this show.

That was sort of the point of the skit. The humor (such as it was) came from seeing a bunch of businessmen acting like six year olds, not in the inherent humor (or lack thereof) of someone being called fartface.

Edit: Actually, I think she did better than average. Typically, when a politician comes on, SNL bends over backwards not to insult him/her. They didn't do that with Governor Palin; in fact, they had Alec Baldwin insult her to her face.
So well done, Governor Palin. You're an outstanding SNL guest. But I still hate everything you stand for politically.

I'm a Palin "hater" and I thought she did just fine, for what she had to do. I mean, she was a sports-caster so she knows how to read a teleprompter in front of a camera. So everything's NOT normal - booga booga!

She did what she was supposed to do and what all the Politicians are supposed to hopefully do when they go on. Roll with the punches, not take herself too seriously, play along, and have a good time.
Considering the way SNL has been shitting on her for the past several weeks I'd say she was a Trooper...Uh, no pun intended ....for going on.
That said, I still wish SNL would stop having Politicians on the show.

To all you Palin haters...
"You're a FARTFACE!"
... it was a so-so show all the way around. I fell asleep during the second Adele performance and missed the rest. Hope I didn't miss much.

I don't know, I thought this weeks show was fantastic.
Amy Poehler is great and Sarah Palin was a pretty good sport about all the ribbing.
Even the "farface" skit was mildly entertaining --- I mean, they are grown men for crissakes.

Speaking of politicians, I think Al Gore had the best showing of a political guest on SNL (barring Giuliani in drag). The West Wing skit he did was good, as was the bit with the Chihuahua on the Spanish-language show.

How do these writers and producers look at a sketch like The Surprise Lady during rehearsals and think "oh, yeah. that's funny. It's going to kill Saturday night."? I don't get it.
Tina Fey needs to stop doing Palin. I was afraid they were going to go to that well once too often, and they did.
Also, why have so many guest stars overshadow Sarah Palin? Do you really need Alec Baldwin and Marky Mark when you have the most controversial political figure in our lifetime? And what a waste. They should have expanded the concept of people mistaking her for Tina Fey.
Worst. Show. Ever.

CNN reports 17 MILLION people tuned into SNL to see Palin.
That's SNL's best numbers in nearly 14 years... since Nancy Kerrigan hosted in 1994.

And how weird was that taped sketch with Bill Hader doing an MTV piece on Armisen as some musician? Maybe it'll build into something . . . ?
