Is this still going to air on Thursdays? If so, what will this do to their comedy lineup?

Sounds like they're hurting for other programming. They could easily show longer or even uncut boardroom scenes on nbc.com or hulu.

I checked and it's going to be on Sundays starting March 1. It's going to the Celebrity version, by the way.

Did it have a list of the celebrities? Most of the time celebrity versions of reality shows suck, but The Apprentice is an exception. Last season was a definite improvement over recent years.

What happened is that last Spring's season was the best season in years.

Agreed. I loved last season. Had that season had two hour eps., I would have been thrilled.

According to what Joan Rivers let slip on Howard Stern a month ago...
Spoiler:
Melissa Rivers sticks around for a while and possibly makes the final

How many shows will it take for Scott Hamilton to openly weep on camera?

The Celebrity Apprentice -- Season 2 Discussion Thread -- Premieres 3/1/09

Photobucket

The eighth season of Donald Trump's competition series (2nd as Celebrity edition) lifts off with rung-climbing business battles featuring 16 celebrities. They include singers Clint Black, Brian McKnight and Tionne Watkins; comics Andrew Dice Clay, Tom Green and Joan Rivers; sports figures Dennis Rodman, Herschel Walker and Scott Hamilton; and actress-models Claudia Jordan and Brande Roderick. First up: The celebs bake and sell cupcakes in a challenge marked by culinary slipups and a surprise taste test.

Personally, I would much rather see the original concept of this show back with real people looking for jobs with Trump (probably not gonna happen since the LA edition almost got this show cancelled and Trump filing for bankruptcy). However, I know some of you here loved this concept better than the previous editions, so here you go. Post away and enjoy!!

I'm undecided if I want to check this out. I personally hated the couple of episodes of the 1st Celebrity edition and didn't bother with it.

BTW, Season 2 is 11 episodes and every single episode is 2 hours long. All the boardroom segments will be extended longer than previous seasons.

I really liked the last one, but this lineup of celebrities doesn't really interest me, particularly at 2 hrs/ep, so I think I'll pass. I'm sure Diceman will get the bulk of the camera attention and I can't stand his schtik.

With Dennis Rodman, Tom Green, and Joan Rivers in the cast-- not to mention Donald Trump -- Clay has is work cut out for him if he wants to hog the camera time.

I'm looking forward to this show. It hasn't really been what it purports to be -- an attempt to weed through a batch of competent businessmen to find the best one -- since season 2 or 3, but it's still fun.

And I'm glad to see George in the publicity still. Hopefully he'll be a bigger part of the show than he was the last few seasons.

I can't stand Tom Green or Joan Rivers either, so that wouldn't help matters.

The only reason I am interested in this season, is because of Jesse James. It doesn't look like he will last long, since he has hardly been promoted.

Does Melissa Rivers ever do anything without her mother?

I think the show has really suffered with the addition of the no talent children. And no I don't think Ivanka is hot, I think she looks to much like the father and brother.

Spoiler:
Dice

and i think she/he went out very graciously and humbly. she/he really gave me a different view of who she/he was as a person.

i really think there is something wrong with me...i have never watched this and only lightly watched "The Girls Next Door", yet tonight i found myslef flipping through both and getting emotional at both, especially when the booted got it bc she/he even though very much deserved it, really went out respectably and i truly admired that.

but Hef getting emotional that everyone was leaving him and everyone getting emotional at leaving, i really had a hard time not watching.

Spoiler:
i think i'm ready for my vagina now.

luckily, i am taping "Eastbound & Down" so 'Big Mackie' should return thereafter.
