And weren't both Tyra and and Lyla seniors this past year too? Or did they "bump" Tyra back to being a junior? That wouldn't work for Lyla because she was most certainly a junior when Street got hurt in the first season...

I think they 'bumped' Lyla back with Riggins once already. I thought they and Street were all seniors when the show started.

I don't see why they can't graduate Tyra. She doesn't exactly seem like the go-away-to-college type.

Not to mention Mrs. T talked her into taking college prep classes the first season. The way the first season was written was that Street, Riggins, Smash, Tyra & Lyla were Seniors and Saracen, Landry & Julie were either freshman or sophomores.

They definitely fudged it for the second season, so stretching it for another season would be beyond goofy and tread in 90210 waters.

At least in 90210, everyone was treated the same class-wise (they all basically had 2 junior years), except for David where they specifically say he loaded up on summer classes so he could graduate a year early with the rest of them.

I'm pretty sure Smash was a junior in S1, and specfically mentioned.

Yeah, that's odd. I don't see why they can't start this season from where they left off last season - I guess the coach's baby will be too old looking...

Correct. Landry and Saracen were definitely sophmores. It is mentioned more than once when he successfully replaces Street as QB, and Landry talks about how Julie is a hottie freshman (and someone NEW since she just transferred to Dillon when Eric Taylor moves to coach there).

MAN was that one ugly baby. Maybe they'll use the season gap to recast her.

I'm not too concerned -- I trust each of their storylines will have a satisfying conclusion.
