Last episode was really good. All the tensions from one couple to another. I hope CBS grants them another chance because I'd like to see how it all plays out.

This past episode with Susan catching Bruce on the phone was another very satisfying episode. Next week is the season finale and unfortunately, perhaps, the last show ever.
Here's what I got from Wiki: Audience interest dwindled as the summer progressed. After a strong pilot episode, the ratings for Swingtown got progressively worse, aided by a mid-season move from Thurdays to Friday. The ratings problems have led CBS to see if any cable networks, or perhaps DirecTV, are interested in picking it up.[12] According to executive producer Alan Poul, the first season ending was shot with the show's uncertain future in mind:[13]
The season ends with a cliffhanger, but it's also a completely satisfying ending. So, if we go forward, there are many new things that are set up to explore. And if we don't go forward, there's no feeling that we've been left with something incomplete.

I'm assuming that next week will be the last we'll see of these folks ... too bad, because it is a very satisfying (not necessarily great) TV experience, and so much better than some of the pure crap that seems to get solid ratings consistently.

It'd be a shame if this week was the last episode. This show is well-written, interesting, and despite the lurid way they promoted it at first, an excellent serious drama. I really wish it'd been on Showtime or HBO, not just because they wouldn't have had to wimp out on the graphic details, but because then it would have been given a real chance.
And yes, Lana Parilla is seriously gorgeous, and looked amazing in a bikini this week.

He is only with "Private Practice" for 3 episodes and will be free waaaay before season 2 would start filming. According to Entertainment Weekly and the Hollywood Reporter CBS has been talking with both Showtime and DirectTv to carry the show. Apparently Showtime has been very interested, but its all coming down to price.

I would love for this show to be on Showtime - while the drama between the characters is the main part of the show, it is a little unrealistic how they always cut away from the sex scenes.

For a show that hasn't gotten good ratings lately, it still generates a lot of buzz. The characters and the writing have been excellent. And anything that takes me back to the 1970's for an hour is worth watching.
I saw some of the actors outside of their Swingtown 70's look. They look much better.
