So does this show have any chance of being renewed being a summer series and all?

What has this show been getting 7-8M viewers a week? Considering the music and set costs, I doubt CBS will spend the money needed to make a 2nd season. I think they shot the 13 episodes to fulfill contracts to cast and crew without losing more money.

It's been dropping in viewership since the pilot and hovering around 4-5million. It is on during the summer though and it is #1 or #2 with the critical 18-49 range.

Yeah - I didn't know what the numbers were. That's not terribly impressive.

I'm surprised CBS even bothered airing this instead of reruns of their procedurals if there was never really any intention that there could be more down the line.

This week got a little hot with a threeway consisting of 2 men and 1 woman. Anyone still watching?

I noticed that they had a number of cigarette smoking scenes in this episode.

I distinctly remember some joints. Kind of ironic the networks don't show people smoking much but have no problem letting characters do illegal stuff. I don't do either. Just an observation.

This show is moving to Friday's at 10pm starting this week.

http://www.zap2it.com/tv/news/zap-cb...,3106096.story

In what could be read as a positive sign for "Flashpoint" and an ill-omen for "Swingtown," CBS has swapped the time slots for the summer dramas.

CBS announced on Tuesday (July 22) that, effective immediately, "Flashpoint" will take the Thursday 10 p.m. ET hour after "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," while "Swingtown" will shuffle off to Friday nights at 10 p.m.

I hope it gets to finish the run of 13 episodes. It would be good if another outlet picked it up. It gets small ratings for a major broadcast network, but much more than the average cable show. It might also do well on cable since they wouldn't have the restrictions of CBS.

I'd be more shocked if it moved to Applebee's.

I too would like to see this show picked up by a cable network. I am enjoying it thus far and it's unfortunate that it is not pulling in bigger numbers on CBS -- good, summer fun.

The kiss of death for this show. I love it and have been watching it all summer and by moving it must mean that CBS has no faith it in. I heard that the ratting for it's Thursday night slot were doing good and I was hoping that CBS would pick it up for mid season or another summer run. Seems that CBS has more faith in Flashpoint, a show that has got less that stellar reviews.

Haven't a clue what Flashpoint is all about. Swingtown looks kind of doomed on a Friday night.

Enough of happy free love. Time for cheating.

Numb3rs does just fine on Friday @ 10pm EST. This isn't exactly the Fox Friday night kiss of death.

Since this show had no chance of renewal, no biggy, but I just hope they air the full run.

Great episode tonight. The student-teacher romance was a bore until this episode.

The stories are getting more interesting even if the titillation has gone down.

I loved it when Janet returned the dress and said there was some sort of "stain" on it.

Watched last week's episode -- another good one. Funny scene with Tom and Janet in the kitchen.

Anyone know how many more episodes are left to air?

The season (likely series) finale is on September 5th.

I am really enjoying this show.
