I loved it when the judges asked Martha if she would watch Kelsey's show and Martha said something like "Not very long..."

That girl is so bubbly and annoying. She is like the culinary Tracy Flick.

Martha was a complete bitch to the contestants.

RE: Kelsey's "Sloppy Jane", Martha didn't say she didn't really like it, as the judges stated; she simply said it wasn't her kind of food. Either way, why the fuck should it matter? They weren't making the food specifically for Martha (God knows the woman could cut back on food a bit).

I also find it ironic that the network that gave birth to Rachael Ray's career is going to criticize a contestant for being annoying or too peppy.

This year appears to be Aaron's unless he has a complete meltdown.

I'm rooting for him just to see Bonehead Flay have to accept someone knows spices instead of his spice greatness because he can grill.

This week's episode was just completely absurd on every level.

Kelsey is so far head and shoulders above anyone else. She is still a tad annoying though. It's sad I was pulling for Jennifer, but she looks like she is going to have a nervous breakdown.

There's a sneak peek of the first challenge for the next week at the Food Network website...

... it's painful! Should be fun to hear what y'all have to say about it next week.

Episode 5 (6/29) - "Kat Fight!" (guest judge Kat Kora)

... from the preview of the mini-challlenge it'll be fun. It'll show the difference between those that can think on their feet and those that can't.

... but then there is the best part.... Nipa is GONE!!!!!!!! Don't have to put up with her anymore.

And now Jen is gone. Thank god. As much as Adam sucks, at least he has presence and is funny.

I'm actually rooting for the Romulan or Shane. They seem to have the best cooking chops. Adam should be the next to go.

I can't stand the Romulan. She's just way too 50's housewifey and fake for me to be able to watch her for too long.

Aaron and Adam will be the next two off I think.... Aaron just has no tv presence and apparently Adam can't cook.

It'll come down to Lisa and Kelsey I think (Shane has a chance too, but think his youth/immaturity will do him in)... but none of them really stand out. I didn't see previous seasons, is this how they all were ?

First Lisa bothered me with the snobbish attitude that she toned down, but now it's her squinty eye thing she always does... reminds of some cartoon character that's about to get into a fight.

And what's with the 30-45 minute cooking events all the time ? Unless your looking for Rachel Ray's replacement, give these guys some time to really do something right...

Glad Nipa gone, her cooking point of view consisted of 500 things to put curry powder on.... and no personality.

Jen was just a mess.

Jeffrey was all talk and no substance.

Kevin should have lasted longer than some of the others...but they already have a Tyler Florence, which he seemed to be.

And Cory was just blah, didn't even seem to want to be there..and was not interesting to watch at all !

Yes. With the exception of Guy, who was a standout, none have been memorable and few, if any, seemed to make it past 1 show.

I don't know why they can't get a more exciting group together.

I'm sure a lot of it has to do with the absolutely ridiculous tasks to which the contestants are subjected. Try giving them ample time to prepare something with ingredients they can choose, and I'm sure we'd see more people shine. Enough of the "you have to make this very hard dish in thirty minutes with only these ingredients and no time to prep" stuff. I kinda see the point in those challenges, but there's no reason EVERY challenge has to be of that nature.

This season is quickly becoming the worst of the four.

I think that next season should be an All Star season. Bring back the best 2-3 from each season and have them try it again.

Episode 5 (7/5) - "Yum-o!" (guest judge Rachel Ray)

I caught the sneak peek last Monday but am currently visiting relatives that don't have Food Network (a shame I know).

So I'll catch a rebroadcast later this week.

... but from the sneak peek, I'd saw that Shane and Lisa are going to have their hands full.

^

I'll spoilerize my comments regarding the episode tonight.

Spoiler:
Shane got the boot. Shane was obviously uncomfortable working with a kid, something that he probably would never have to do again if he won his own show. I feel that he got ripped. Lisa completely shut down in the last 2 minutes of her segment and Kelsey was her usual annoying self. I would have dumped either one of the ladies before Shane. Oh well, on to Vegas!

You know...what the hell does Lisa have on the judges? She was terrible tonight...she basically told the little kid what "she" wanted, and shut down during the demo.

She seems so fake to me....and the thing with TV is, is that we DO have to look at the cook. She's tough to look at, with her awful haircut and squinty eyes. Nobody squints that much...if so, they get their eyes checked.
