I'm guessing Claire is dead*, but how would she have died?
* Since she is now a spirit or whatever, in the same vein as Jack's dad.
* And Miles was all interested in her last week, and he's all into dead people.

This show has dived headfirst into Twin Peaks territory. Hopefully it'll be able to avoid the absurd lunacy of TP's second season. But with another 2 seasons to go, I don't see how they can keep up this pace without reaching ludicrous speed.

Actually, a lot of people were saying "What are the odds that Claire would have survived that house explosion" and were saying that it was far fetched. Perhaps you're right, Alfredog, I'm thinking that maybe she did die.

What a short thread for such a solid ep.

Show, I love you.
And what was with the gun malfunctioning when aimed at Michael? Guns don't ever seem to want to shoot that guy.

Anyone notice the comic book when Richard visited young Locke? If someone could grab a screenshot - it was about a disappearing city, and showed a duplicate island/city hovering above itself. Hmmmmmmm.
re: Claire/Boone/Ana Lucia/etc. - what if dying on the island doesn't really kill you, but releases you from the timeline? What if Claire and Christian are "free" so to speak?

I guess Claire is dead. Last we saw her she was in the jungle with Sayer and the asian guy (forgot his name). She saw Chrisitan and said "dad ?"
But does anyone know she's dead ?
I don't think they would take Aaron off the island not knowing where Claire was when they get rescued.
I'm not sure if Richard is "immortal" or just time traveling. We've seen him appear during different time periods (last night in the 30's, when Ben was a little boy on the island...)
Could Locke be "immortal" as well ?
Born 3 months premature, gets pushed off an 8 story building, gets shot by Ben...
Great episode !

ABC Adds More Hours to Lost
Source: The Hollywood Reporter
May 9, 2008
The 2009 and 2010 editions of ABC's "Lost" will be 17 hours each -- not 16 as previously planned, says The Hollywood Reporter.
ABC has added two hours to the show's production plan because the WGA strike knocked three hours out of the current season. To partly compensate, the network recently added an additional hour to Part 2 of the season finale that airs May 29.
All told, the changes will wrap up the show with the same number of episodes that producers and ABC negotiated last year.
"We were supposed to do 16-16-16," "Lost" co-creator Damon Lindelof said. "But we ended up doing 14 this season, so we owe two."
For the upcoming season finale, Lindelof promised a more action-driven cliffhanger instead of the mind-bending flash-forward time shift that stunned fans last season.
"The finale this year will not be as tricky as last year," he said. "Hopefully, this year it's a little bit more of a straightforward action-adventure narrative. But the ending of the episode will hopefully engage and intrigue people looking forward to the next season of the show."
