Ooh, good call. That could be where the "remember what happened the last time you followed your heart" line comes in.

Or... who says he's the Doctor? They lied about the Morse code, they could also be lying to hide his identity.

Ben immediately getting up and grabbing a shotgun out of the piano bench was 100% badass. I also think the people on the boat were just lying about the doctor being alive...

We did see him acting as the doctor on the ship, though. The body last night was the guy to which Desmond replied, 'You're not sticking me with that, brother!'

Phenemonal episode.

What an ending. I was never expecting that.

This did feel like a season finale.

The writers for this show are amazing. I bow to them.

LOL, one of the best lines to come out of this show.

Glad it was confirmed who were the ones that captured Alex since that was quite a topic of debate.

Great action-packed episode.

Since Desmond has become of my favorite characters in the show and I loved the Desmond-Penny episodes and storyline, somewhat bummed what could happen to Penny in the future.

But damn, Ben's character is awesome. Love him but hate him. Casting Emerson as Ben was probably the best casting move in the show IMHO.

EDIT:
Nobody else lost spoken audio near the end of the episode, did they? I'm thinking since no one mentioned it no one else had that problem. From the 10:50 mark where it came back from commercial to about 10:50 spoken audio was not present, but you could still hear the music, island sounds like them walking through the jungle, etc. Folks on another message board with others in my viewing area (Hampton Roads, VA) also experienced it, so I guess I'm stuck with assuming it was our local ABC affiliate and not ABC with the problem, correct?

He's NOT fine, correct? Faraday lied about interpreting the morse code.

Great episode again. Season 4 is up to par with season 1 so far in my book.

I thought the island belonged to Dharma/Hanzo. will their representatives ever show up.

Also, Ben says - "You're rock is beatiful this time of year."

His Rock, meaning Widmore's. Maybe he is Dharma. Or maybe he has four toes. lol.

But makes you wonder why he can't find it if it's "his".

Sawyer dodging bullets was like watching GI-Joe cartoons.

ducking for cover behind a fence post

I was waiting for him to do back flips to dodge the bullets.

I noticed their reactions, too.

Also, the name tag on the Dharma jacket Ben was wearing said "Halliwax". Wasn't that one of the names the asian doctor on the Dharma orientation videos goes under?

Yep, I think Halliwax was one of Marvin Candle’s names in the introduction of one of the orientation films.

Also, the Dharma logo on his coat had swirly rings with a small sprout in the middle; possibly the Orchid station. (That would make sense with the teleporting bunny video.)

Surprised that no one thinks that Ben might be doing the same thing as Desmond was, jumping back and forth, not time travel, not teleportation.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that was the one. And it definitely does make sense. Kazimir Affect or something like that, right?

I'm pretty sure he said, "Iraq's beautiful this time of year," didn't he? Basically telling him yeah, I found your guy, he's dead now.

Of course, chances are if he was following his heart when he was supposed to kill Penny, he would not kill her...and something bad apparently happened when he didn't follow his heart. So maybe he doesn't kill Penny, and she ends up being a "bad guy"???

Yep. A little knee in the groin to Widmore.

I think you're absolutely right. The antipode of somewhere in Tunisia puts them about 700-800 miles off the coast of New Zealand.

That is actually something I described in my overly long, under-read theory in this thread:

http://forum.dvdtalk.com/showthread.php?t=499317&page=3

I don't know how tonight's episode fits into this theory, but I'm not giving up on it.

Nah, I don't think Ben is doing the same thing Desmond did. That and considering how many people has died because of him or around him I suppose the only person who could be his constant would be who, Whidmore It is either teleportation or he did actually travel off the island the way he told Sayid I believe by Desmond's boat. I would say some sort of teleport based on the desert scene. Who knows though?

This is exactly how it happened and how I took it as well.

Might explain why he can't kill him.
