Holy shit what a fucking ride.
Yep. Appears teleporting is definitely going on. Doesn't feel rushed, just packed. i.e. cramming 8 episodes worth of plot into 6. In this episode alone they gave up:
- confirmed teleportation
- Ben controls Smokey
- why Sayid is working for Ben & who he's knocking off
- the freighter guys killed Danielle & Carl
- freighter guy killed Alex
- confirmed that the freighter isn't there to rescue Jack et. al.
In any other season this would have been ten episodes worth of material.

This episode sort of reeks of being rushed.

i think the viewers were thrown some sort of clue - when they were playing RISK - Hurley said "Australia's the key..."

That scene with Smokey was awesome. I can't wait to see some screenshots of the flashes, and of the carvings/symbols on the cave door that Ben entered, to see if there are any hidden clues there.

We still don't know what Ben meant, a few eps back, when he told Sayid, "Remember what happened the last time you thought with your heart?", do we?
Smokey coming down through the houses, fucking awesome.
Curious to see how Aaron ends up being one of the 6 out of this and not Claire or Sawyer, since Aaron is no longer with any of the other 6.
Charlotte never really says much, does she? I'm guessing she's going to play a key role in something here soon.

The 3 that did get killed tonight were comical in their stupidity. "Huh, he got shot, lemme check on him." "Hmmm, she got shot, lemme check on her." And then Sawyer dodges a couple hundred bullets.

Loved the episode, but what a dumb way to kill off the non-essential extras that decided to follow Locke. I realize Sawyer's not the most trustworthy person, but listen to the guy when he's screaming at you to get back inside and don't go running to the exact spot where there's a dead guy.

So why couldnt Ben kill Whidmore? Was it physically impossible (like how Michael could not commit suicide) or were there unkown circumstances where killing him would have effected someone/something?

So were Widmore's nightmares being caused by the island?

Thought the execution of the episode could have been a lot better, but the content was certainly there.
