Looks dreadful. It looks like the spoof they did on The Ben Stiller show.

Do we get to see the Peach Pit or Nat for that matter?

This does look lame, so I'm actually glad Rob Thomas isn't as strongly attached as it first seemed he would be. I think I'll be happily skipping this one.

I seriously have no idea how I feel about this. My initial reaction was "how stupid" but now i'm leaning towards kinda curious to see the results. I completely agree! I LOVED 90210, it was seriously my favorite show and now that this is coming back, I feel like the title of the show is the same, but nothing else. I think it would have been cool if they just brought all the old cast members back and did like a "Melrose Place" type show...continuing their lives. I will def. give this show a shot though and see how it turns out. |
Does anyone watch Degrassi, to me its the exact same idea. After Degrassi junior high and Degrassi high, along came Degrassi The Next Generation. I am curious to see how this will turn out.

With Ostroff on her way out of CW and the MTV boss responsible for The Hills coming in...well, things could get interesting.

I watched Michael Ausiello's final blog on TV Guide (he's going to Entertainment Weekly) and he interviewed Jennie Garth about her role on the show. It sounded like there is no chance in hell she will be a regular. With her husband and kids, I think she's looking at this gig as a part-time job at best. If 90210 gets a full season, I think she will be in no more than 10 episodes tops.

Report: Shannen Doherty Considering '90210' Return No word on any original male cast members July 2, 2008 The folks behind the new "90210" are hoping to set up a reunion for the girls of West Beverly Hills High that includes Brenda Walsh. According to an Entertainment Weekly report, it looks like Shannen Doherty is now thinking to reprise her role from the original "Beverly Hills, 90210" for the CW update premiering this fall. Producers of the new "90210," Gabe Sachs and Jeff Judah, have met with Doherty, who reportedly is interested, depending on the story and money offered. Even of those issues are addressed, there are other concerns that make Doherty's participation tricky. Not only does she have a reputation for being difficult on set, but she famously had an angry tussle with Garth back in the day. It's difficult to speculate if any animosity would linger or if the two actresses' characters would even cross paths. In the update, Garth as the grown up Kelly Taylor is now a guidance counselor at the high school, while Spelling's Donna Martin is the successful owner of a shop frequented by the WBHH students. Nooooooooooooooooooooooo! Chris |
I'd much rather see Brenda than Kelly Taylor. What they need is Brenda and Valerie.

Any hot young vag in this one?
|
Is there anyone Shannon has not had a tussle with?

Shannen Doherty has signed on, but Tori Spelling has dropped out now.

I read that Tori pulled back her appearances once she heard that Doherty may be coming back too.

'90210' Adds Vixen, Lacrosse Jock Meghan Markle and Kellan Lutz join the cast July 7, 2008 http://www.zap2it.com/media/photo/2008-07/40753776.jpg Kellan Lutz The West Beverly Hills High student body is growing every day. Meghan Markle and Kellan Lutz are the latest two actors to join the swelling cast of the CW's "90210," according to The Hollywood Reporter. Markle, 26, will play the school's sexy vixen who gets by on her looks. The actress might be familar to some as the model for Case #24 on "Deal or No Deal." She's also landed a potential recurring role as Sadie Valencia, the spoiled daughter of guest star Treat Williams' character on the upcoming ABC drama pilot "Good Behavior." Lutz, 23, will play star lacrosse player George Evans, who comes from a well-to-do family. The actor next appears in HBO's upcoming miniseries "Generation Kill." His film credits include "Stick It," "Accepted," "Prom Night" and the upcoming adaptation of the young adult vampire book series "Twilight." |

This Meghan Markle seems to fit the bill, unless 26 doesn't qualify as 'young.' But hey, it wouldn't be 90210 if they didn't have folks older than 25 playing high school students. http://www.buddytv.com/articles/deal...ges/Meghan.jpg I got no problem with this bit of casting, particularly in a vixen role. |
She's nice. According to Wikipedia, she used to be a briefcase model on Deal or No Deal.
|
Gosh, I wish there were High School students that looked like that when I was 17 years old! :D2: Hopefully she's a decent actress.
If I recall correctly, Gabrielle Carteris was 29 years old in the 1st season of 90210. I think she was probably the oldest actress to play a high school student. |
