I am probably the biggest 90210 fan there is (and I'm a straight guy) but this show will probably suck. I'm curious as to how they will have Donna on the show w/out David being that they got married and Kelly w/out Dylan being that the got back together.

I believe that Kelly will once again be single.

Aren't the kids from the original 90210 middle-aged now? :)

Gunde 08-07-08 01:33 AM

The cast pic just scream 'BAD SHOW' - so did the original :)

Seriously though there's no way this new show will have any of the charm the original had.

Carteris turned 47 this year. I believe she was the oldest at age 29 when the show started.

I believe B.A.G and Tori Spelling are the youngest at age 35.

Of Course the photo is going to look cheesy. It was taken before they even filmed one scene. It's going to take some time for this show to gain a following/audience. They do have some credible actors as the parents (Lori Loughlin and Rob Estes.) I think the show will have some growing pains, but I think it will do well. I'm guessing 3-5M viewers a week (which is good for CW standards)

In the pic above, Priestly's legs look like they're going to snap with the weight of Carteris on him.

Is there a token gay too?

They may actually need a token straight in this show.

Original Desmond 08-07-08 06:06 PM

Ill be watching

I'd actually like to see TAT (Valerie) return

What about the peach pit and Nat ? Is the actor who played nat still alive ?

Joe E. Tata is returning for 1 episode.

Tiffani Thiessen said no to returning as well as Luke Perry. B.A.G. is out of the mix as well since he's on Terminator as a regular.

Yes, Joe E. Tate is in his early 70s, I have read he is in the pilot, and may become a cast regular.

Is there a trailer for this yet? I had seen a very short promo, but it was just some of the cast standing in doorways and rolling on a bed. Nothing that actually showed actual scenes. Although I'm probably more inclined to watch the first season of Gossip Girl before I check this out.

B.A. 08-07-08 07:44 PM

I'll be tuning in because of Jessica Stroup.

I read somewhere that they have renamed his Peach Pit, Peach Pit after Dark aka....The Pit.

Except one of the highest rated TV shows, Dancing with the Stars. :)

stingermck 08-11-08 01:22 PM

Ill be trying it since I liked the original, but Anna Lynne McCord will keep me watching. Love her in Nip/Tuck.

Sources Confirm: Tori Pulls Out of 90210 Spinoff
By Kristin Dos Santos Mon Aug 11, 12:40 PM PDT
Donna Martin has left the zip code.

Sources confirm that Tori Spelling has pulled out of the CW's 90210 spinoff because she is not receiving equal pay with her former costars Jennie Garth and Shannen Doherty. I'm told by insiders that Tori asked for a rate hike after discovering that Jennie and Shannen were signed for $40,000 to $50,000 per episode, while Tori was getting less than $20,000 per episode. Her request was denied, so Tori backed out of the deal altogether.

The show's rep at the CW says: "The CW has no deal with Tori Spelling to appear on 90210 at this time."

And Tori's rep says the same: "At this point there are no plans for Tori to appear on the 90210 spinoff."

Clearly, there is still time for the CW to pony up the cash and resign Tori to the series, and this now-public display of inequality may be just the motivation to do so.

I spoke with Tori recently, and she told me she was happy to see Shannen coming onto the show. "I think that is such a huge plus for the fans, the reason I'm coming back is for the fans, because we have amazing fans. So for them to see the original, to see Brenda Walsh on the show is huge."
