Fox doesn't cancel shows too soon?

Exactly! They cancelled Arrested Development (it won the Emmy twice for best comedy series), Family Guy (until they saw the DVD sales numbers!), Parker Lewis Can't Lose, Strange Luck, etc. All good to great shows that never got a chance.

Fox is probably one of the worst next to the Sci Fi Channel and HBO!!

But no body watched it. It's not like it was an Emmy award winning show that had tons of viewers every week. It was given several chances to get ratings and just didn't/

It was also shuffled around to random time slots so that no one ever knew when the show was on and they'd go for weeks at a time without new episodes. Sometimes when new episodes aired they would run a commercial for like a day before it was going to be on. They did the exact same thing with Family Guy in its initial run, and then realized they fucked up big time when they saw the DVD sales numbers. I'd hardly call Fox's scheduling decisions a fair shot at getting good ratings.

Fox cancelled Firefly after one season, the same for Space: Above & Beyond. I can see the same happening to Terminator. They don't give science-fiction based shows a lot of room to run around, instead preferring their reality shows currently.

I loved the TERMINATOR movies and I wanna like this show.
But the last episode put me to sleep it's the same ol' stuff like the movies and we know how the whole storyline is going to turn out. And there is a 4th movie on the way.
So why are we watching this?

VR.5 and Sliders were also canned after a season. But at least they get to last that long.

Sliders got brought back after some good ol' fan protest.

I think Fox could keep Sarah Connor around if it keeps the 8m or so viewers, much like Prison Break. Save for a few effect shots it doesn't seem like it'd be horribly expensive. I'd expect Sci-fi to pick it up otherwise.

We do? You do know that this show isn't bridging the gap between T2 and T3, right? It's a whole new enchilada.

Yes it did, though it was initially canceled after the first season. It was brought back and wound up surviving 2 more season before getting kicked over to Scifi.

I'm glad to see that the terminator was able to locate the same doctor that T-Bag was able to use... these guys do some amazing work while under duress!

Didn't the guy he knocked out have a gun? Why didn't he just shoot the lock and get the hell out of there?

The head writer and producer (and a director too) of this show did the remake of War of the Worlds and except for the fairly lame happy Spielberg style ending (Spielberg is getting to be such a wuss) it was a competent piece of work IMHO.

They need the writers back, guys! That's probably why they're flailing around at the moment. The actors did say they were having a tough time without their input and guidance and were caught completely off guard by their sudden disappearance from the sets.

Do you realized that gun makes noise? One shot, the driver and passenger would've heard it.

I finally caught up on these episodes. So far, not impressed. I can't pinpoint exactly why I don't like it right now, I just don't. I like Sarah Conner. I'm meh on John Conner and Summer Glau is hot but I'm meh on her too. I have to admit, however, that the last 10 minutes of the last episode were pretty intense.

Since its a 9 episode run I plan on giving it the full season treatment. The last time I wanted to bail on a show after 4 episodes was Heroes (season 1) and I'm happy I didn't. Maybe this will pick up just like Heroes did. Being a pretty big Terminator fan I really want to like this so I'll continue giving it a shot.

If this next episode and the two hour season (series??) finale have the clips that they've been showing in Fox's trailers then it looks like Cameron shows a bit more spunk. I hope so because Arnold, over the span of a few days, showed more curiosity and evolution as a cybernetic organism trying to understand humanity than Cameron has in a few weeks... and she's supposed to be the most advanced of her model line.

I don't know if the 20-something playing John is not right for the part or if the direction sucks, but he needs to find a personality... fast. Leader of men/women/cyborgs? You have to have charisma besides smarts and daring. In T2 John was a street smart rebellious little punk, but he seems to have become whiny and needy in this series, too much like any other moody teenager.

I think the actors (even if it means they're breaking their "I'm performing my character in my own way" creedo), directors, and writers all need to sit down and really watch and discuss the first two films (T1 and T2 extended cut) again and maybe pick up some of the stuff that made these films classics: action and suspense, humanity, and some humor.
