- Let's take the key off the Terminator's neck to pick a 60s era lock instead of using previously demonstrated lockpicking skills to easily bypass the lock for the blast door.

- Let's teach your son how to drive stick while we're trying to make a daring getaway. Brilliant.

- A bank vault won't stop a Terminator but a blast door will given that he has plenty of time to pound his way through the door.
Couple things
1)Not to nitpick but it was a Blackberry Curve not a Treo. Not that it really matters much. I've had phones take alot of damage from small drops onto semi hard sufaces (wood floors) so I can believe a phone falling onto a steel plate would get messed up.
2)I don't believe he picked the lock to the truck when he was on the inside, I thought he knocked the guard out and took the keys and was just trying to find the right one, not picking a lock.

Not the best episode but I enjoyed it and will keep tuning in.

I don't get why the robot could "restart" almost immediately when knocked over, but took 15 seconds when the door was opened.

Definately picked the lock. He took a little screwdriver out and I was thinking how convenient it was that he was carrying it with him.

I actually liked the episode. I think they could have developed the bomb shelter Terminator a little (a lot) more. He seemed to just be a plot device and nothing more.

Didn't Cameron make mention an episode or two ago that the Future John created Cameron's look from actual women he knew in his life? I thought I heard her say something like that because I started to think that John would end up finding a human that looked like Cameron somewhere down the line.

I think someone speculated that in a previous thread, but I don't recall anything like that on the show.

I think that Future John knows what he likes... and so does Skynet! All the guy terminators are buff, the gal terminators are all hotties.

If Cameron was built by Skynet (as Cameron said her T-888 model was made in that bomb shelter) and then reprogrammed by John and his crew like the last model in T2 then Cameron would have no resemblance to anyone John knew.

Could Cameron have a neural net pattern of a lost love or female friend/companion embedded in her main system that's awaiting to emerge then that is one, albeit unlikely, possibility. Cameron only said she was different or special compared to past Terminators. What that means, we'll just have to tune in and find out.

Well, the "Cameron model" could have been made at the plant, and sent in to infiltrate and get close to John, he fell in love with her, and re-programmed her and sent her back. I don't know, it could happen.

I would believe the T started rebooting when the human came up on him and held the gun to his head, and finished rebooting right before hitting the floor.

What's with all the naysaying, naysayers?

I'm enjoying the series so far, especially trying to make sense of the different timelines being created by all of these Terminators and resistance fighters coming back. I spent a good deal of the Super Bowl trying to explain the different timelines in the Terminator movies and tv show.

Yes, I'm a dork.

And I think it would be neat if we find out that Skynet has been sending back Terminators to a bunch of points in history to ensure its eventual creation. Some sent back to stockpile supplies and wait for Judgement Day, some to carry out assassination missions, perhaps some to advance research in computer technology.

Of course, this opens up the line of thinking: why didn't Skynet send back Terminators to the 1800s and just lay waste to humanity? Or go back and kill Sarah Connor's early ancestors? My argument is that Skynet knows it cannot cause too much of a disturbance to the timeline, otherwise its actions may in fact disallow its creation in the future.

I enjoyed every episode so far. I am waiting for the FBI agent to meet them myself to see where that will lead. As far as we know, John has not seen him yet so I can't help but think that the FBI agent will eventually become his first ally against Skynet and will train in him what his mother could not.

I thought the part where Camerson said she was built in this factory was weird, considering the other terminator could not identify what model she was. Perhaps the future keeps changing and that is why he couldn't identify the model? I don't know.

You know, I was thinking that exact same thing but then I realized that she had said that she's special or whatever. So I think she was captured by the resistance and heavily modified by them and that's why she can't be Identified by the other terminator.

Not digging the show too much but will keep watching as long as Garret Dillahunt is a Terminator and Dean Winter comes out. Sara and John Conner are really annoying actors

Ok guess I missed that. Still not a huge bone of contention for me. I imagine picking a master lock is probably easier than one controlling a nuclear blast door. Hell I've picked a lock to my brothers old apartment once with a pocket knife when I was staying there and accidentally closed the door with the regular doorknob lock on but yet the lock from my parents garage to the inside of my house was near impossible to pick the one time I got locked out.

Perhaps Cameron is from an alternate future thus explaining why she is different from other Terminators. Would be a simple way to explain her Blue eyes versus the usual Red and why they can't ID her. Either way I'm still enjoying it naysayers be damned

I can see Dekker being a little annoying, but how is Lena Headey annoying? I think she has played the part of Sarah Connor very well and pretty damn close to what Linda Hamilton did with the character.

Well, wouldn't he have started rebooting when John took the key from around his neck and finished well before John got out the door?

The terminator turned on, killed the annoying guy, and went back to standby mode. That's why he took a few seconds to respond to Cameron pushing him around.

Aren't you guys paying attention, or are you just ga ga over Cameron??

I wish I would have kept the previous episodes on my DVR because I can't quite remember what was actually said but it had to come from the show seeing as this is the first Terminator:TSCC thread I've read/participated in.

This is the comment I was thinking off. In that thread someone also mentioned something about Sarah asking Cameron if the resistance fighters they went to meet knew about her and she responded rather cryptically with something like "They have seen me.", which led to speculation that she was modeled after a real person in the future.

If cyborgs can become sentient and understand human emotions in this James Cameron universe then it stands to reason that they and humans can get their freak on and even end up picking out curtains together.

Cameron would just have to be very, very careful with her partner!!

I just hope this show gets a fair chance. I hate these shows on major networks because they cancel them to soon. Fox is better than the others though so hopefully it will get a decent shot.

It's been very consistent with over 8.5M+ viewers per week. I think it will definitely finish it's 9 episode run, but it's another story if the cost of the show works with these ratings and if FOX will pay Warner Brothers for a 2nd season.
