But I thought although he could paint the future, he sucked as an artist...

These episodes are getting better, but I'm still waiting for shit to start "happening". I'm fine with not being totally satisfied with these early eps, but when the story really kicks in I hope they can pull me in more.

I get a kick out of the Mohinder/Parkmen/Molly storyline. You just know that is the favorite plotthread for slash fan fic writers for obvious reasons .

The Wondertwins? Yeah, I really hope they kill the brother off. I can't stand him for some reason.

Funny, I find the sister more annoying and naive than the brother. He at least seems to have a larger sense of reason. Dumb with the car jacking, but I'll chalk that up to desparation.

A couple of things my friend and I talked about after this episode:

Kensei got his powers from the eclipse, much like the other Heroes from the first season got theirs from an eclipse.

Sylar has come to terms with having the virus (powers are turned off) and is calling himself Gabrielle. The twins will be handy in getting Mohinder's help I bet. Think about it, would he just help Sylar? I don't think so...

I am enjoying this Volume and knowing that there are three Volumes this season is making this more interesting. We are definately learning that most of the Heroes are legacies (a relative had powers too).

I think I must be the only person enjoying the Claire storyline. I think it is the most interesting, seeing her trying to fit into high school and have a normal high school boyfriend who is different like she is. I am wondering if he knows who her father is, though, since he was lurking and watching through their windows.

I am also intrigued by the reveal about Parkman's dad. Finally a good way to draw him into the bigger story. His character had previously been sort of a tag-along.

I really hate the Wonder Twins but I am glad they are finally moving that story along somewhat. I only wish this was last season so that Sylar would have killed them already, but I think even he doesn't want their stupid powers.

The whole thing with Nathan and the scarface and the changing facial hair makes me think he somehow has Candice's powers to make people see what he wants them to see, but I have no idea how he would have gotten that power. We know he is not future Sylar masquerading as Nathan since we already are seeing Sylar. Could he have somehow absorbed Peter's power-absorption ability?

You know the more I think about it maybe Kensei powers didn't skip a generation...maybe Peter & Nathan had these regeneration powers latent and Nathan has just now developed his. Just another thought.

Jadzia - good thought on Nathan. Maybe he can do more than fly.

I thought the show was pretty good overall. Quick thoughts

- Thought Monica was cool. I don't mind her and Micah. I do mind her little brother (or cousin) and her depressed friend at work.
- Just what the twins needed...some Sylar action to pick up the pace on their slow developing story ...now I hope he kills them
- Parkman, Molly & Mohinder have the best plot going right now. Can't wait until next episode.
- Haitian & HRG are like PBnJ...they are just cool
- Claire...not feeling her story at all. I find myself watching the clock when her and flyboy are on screen.
- In my book Monica now has top hotness honors on this show 1. Monica 1A. Mya 2. Claire. They are still slipping as season 1 was off the charts with hot women

For all the complaints...this is how it was last year. The show will really pick up and be the awesome show we remember...at least I hope. It has been a slow start but the good part is coming.

I want Sylar to eat his own brain (ala Ray Liotta in Hannibal) and kill himself in the process.

Nathan is not physically scarred - those scars are emotional. I sure as shit hope that we don't have another "hero" w/ the ability to absorb someone else's power.

Were Peter's Irish friends off working on their accents.

It's great that the bumbling idiot of a mind-reader is the progeny of the big-bad boogeyman.

HRG and the Haitian and Hiro/Kensei are the best story-lines, imo.

Sylar's the boogeyman.

Matt's dad is the nightmareman.

This universe is apparently a smaller world that that of Star Wars, and it's a little annoying. I wouldn't be surprised to find out the brick Sylar killed the guy with came from the bank Peter robbed with the Irish boys.

Bringing forth another HRG would be interesting if that's the angle they take with the Petrelli father.

Hopefully KBell's arrival marks a turning point for the show. This last week's was better than those before it, but the bar hasn't been set real high yet this year.

Sometimes I don't think anyone pays attention when they watch.

otherwise, i got nuthin'. big jump in time/storyline.

He told the Wonder Twins he'd been walking non-stop for three days. No big jump, was explained clearly.

Maybe that's why his dad left?

I am picturing father-son moments like Dr. Evil and Scott.

Yes it is, in season 1 in the begining when Sylar Killed Brian Davis (the guy with telekenesis) Brian walked into his shop and asked his name and he told him is was Sylar after looking at the name on his watch.

The painting of HRG with the Moe Green Special was definitely an Isaac painting. It was in his previous style.

(One cool little detail is that Isaac's paintings are done by comic book artist Tim Sale. Sylar's are done by Alex Maleev. Two very different styles.)

Explained clearly, but still ridiculously stupid that of all the people in the world to find him it was the Wonder Twins.

As with LOST, there is a built in excuse for the necessary convenient meetings between characters -- there is a higher sort of power driving these events. You can buy into it or not, but I don't think it's appropriate to judge it by the same standard you might for a show that chooses not to suggest there is a larger framework driving the interactions.

Look at the picture posted. I think its Micah's grandma on the bottom left...

Im starting to see where Claire's story is going and I don't like it. It looks like her new bf is making her deceive her dad. Which if the pictures are accurate will mean his death. The show isn't usually that predictive though so we may see some twists and turns along the way.

I still say if they kill off HRG then they are making a big mistake.

So, is Matt's father, the nightmare man, like Freddy Kruger?

Maybe the whole reason we are following the Wonder Twins is because they were going to meet up with Sylar?

Meaning, I'm sure there are heroes in this universe we don't know about. It's not that weird to me that the ones involved the story will eventually meet up...that's the whole point of following them as characters in the first place, right?

Maybe Sylar will end up assembling a team of villains, per se, and the Blundertwins are but the first. I mean, they seem nice, but maybe something will go down and cause them to turn bad.

I think the goal in either the story we're in or the next one will be to stop the killings so they don't get to the point they kill HRG. He has essentially stepped into Claire's shoes from last year.
