The difference being that restaurant was actually named after the Guido guy and he was part of the family, so they couldn't really get rid of him, even though that would've been the best move for the place.

This is a really short series...only 8 more weeks to go. I wonder what FOX is going to fill this timeslot with after the season ends?

I can see keeping the old name on the sign, since it was successful at one time so they would want to keep the brand, but given that they spelled it wrong on the new sign, you wouldn't think they would have shown the misspelling so many times.

Pretty standard. Restaurant gets a handout i.e. kitchen makeover, dining room makeover and the people start pouring in. Well, it's not until the end of every episode that Fox puts a small disclaimer admitting they compensate the diners for their meals and that the segments may be out of sequence. That tells me the place may seem more successful than it truly is because people were paid to eat there and that the restaurant people could be hating on Ramsey because who knows the order of the shots. How many people would really eat here now regardless of all the changes when they have seen all the bugs, roaches, and rotten food at this place?

I watched Hell's Kitchen for two seasons and stopped because of all the shouting and f-bombs. I think I can tolerate this show more since Ramsey is a *little* restrained.
