Wow! First the Britney Spears crap that reminded me of the R. Kelly "Trapped in the Closet: performance and then Sarah Silverman bombing on every joke.

her jokes weren't even that bad... just seemed like the crowd was too cool to laugh or too dumb to get it

It's complete ADD... Every single year I say this is the last time I'll watch them... I'm really close to just turning it off.

Britney looked like she was still reeling from the bender she went on last night partying with P Diddy (is that what he goes by today?).

No comment on Britney or the weird audio glitches, but movie fans will want to stay tuned because at some point during the show, something *major* is going to be revealed.

Have you read the tabloids? I think the bender has been lasting more than 1 night

Full performances from the suites (which have been going on since yesterday) are on the site, and will appear in special "remix" editions on-air, like performance-only remix, dvd-ish commentary remixes, etc. Can't remember if the Foo Fighters are doing a full set on the show (hopefully they are).

they said on the pre show that they are performing with Mastadon for a song, doing Darling Nikki, and doing a song with Lemmy from Motorhead. I know i'd rather watch that any day over the shit on the air (and how indeed is bringing Riannah out with chris brown consitered a "surprise"

Well, looks like we only showed like 30 seconds of Nikki, which admittedly sucks. But it'll go up online at the end of the show. Sadly I don't control programming.

First MTV ruined the movie awards by having zero parodies, thanks Mark Burnett, that was terrible...and now I'm watching the WORST awards show I have ever seen - EVER. The party rooms are a terrible idea, the only big performances are Britney's trainwreck and Chris Brown dancing (plus Rihanna who actually sang)... one of the draws of the show used to be the awesome productions they'd do for the musical performances and they'd have like 12 of the hottest acts around... this year they have good people doing next to NOTHING.

There used to be a horrible show up in here in Canada called 'Electric Circus' which was 60 minutes of people dancing in a club/party atmosphere and there was NOTHING FUN about watching OTHER PEOPLE HAVE FUN...that's what they've turned this show into - Electric Circus... terrible. (and the video segments introducing the nominees used to be a highlight, now they're just ANNOYING as fuck.) AWFUL. I hope MTV fires whoever thought this was a good idea.
