I think they were implying that he may have some powers.
I liked the episode overall. I was obvious from the start that something like that was going to happen (referring to the people starving).
My only quib is that they are starting to make these situations tie up too nice and neat each episode. I man sure they have the story arc of the couple on the run, the one at the 4400 center and then the one with mya.
I hope they bring back some of the past stories with other 4400 people and tie them in somehow.

Regarding the "couple on the run," are they basically running from the Cult not NTAC? But felt that NTAC registry would give them away to the Cult? That bit has me a little confused.
Also, I hope it doesn't become a "[krypto]freak...ah 4400 of the week" show. All wrapped up with two minutes on whether that person(s) power(s) helped or hurt the future...

Yeah, I think the couple is pretty much just running from Jordan, but I'm not too sure why they would feel the need to run from NTAC.
Last night's show gave me a Thinner feel right from the beginning. My attention is starting to wander, hopefully there some more interesting storylines in the works, or the current arcs start to show a little interesting development.

Make sure you pad it.

Late to the party but I just watched the first 3 episodes. I'm hooked. Other than a few minor nuances, it is pretty solid so far. Not terribly original, it definitely has an Xfiles meets Xmen vibe. Tom & Diana are no Mulder & Scully.

Can someone care to tell me what happened at the very end of the last episode? My VCR didnt get it all. May have been seconds or minutes, but the last thing I saw was the violinist, right after woman (I suck with names) had just finished saying she thought Mya would like piano lessons.

They panned to a wide overhead shot of the house behind them with violen music from the kid playing to blackout and credits.

Unless there was something on the rooftop sayings "Spoilers for the rest of the season listed here."
Thanks for the info.

Is anybody watching/discussing The 4400?
I thought last night's episode was really great -- easily the best of this somewhat mediocre season.
I came here to read the thread, and there isn't one.
Am I the only one still watching?

I'm still watching, it's just not a show that inspires enough passion that I get annoyed if there isn't a thread.
I haven't watched last night's yet, but I still FF through all the "StarChild" subplots (I get visions of V: The Series).

I'm enjoying it, and while last night's ep was ok, I get sick of hackneyed sci-fi concepts rehashed all the time. How many times have we seen the main character of a show suddenly find that this fantastical reality that he lives in is actually a self-made delusion?
Buffy did it competantly. DS9 did it wonderfully, and TNG did it brilliantly. I feel it's been explored enough. No more.
