I never really understood the point of Cinemax. Yeah, maybe back in the "Skinemax" days when there was only one HBO channel and softcore porn was a novelty, but once HBO ballooned to a bunch of sister channels, it seemed pointless. Seems like, at that point, they should have just folded it into the HBO suite.

I think in the past movies would air on HBO and then switch to Cinemax and them go back to HBO.

They should have devoted one channel exclusively to soft core porn.

Does anyone even watch movie channels nowadays? You can see just about any movie you want when you want rather than wait for one of them to show it and plan your schedule around that. I always wanted to start a channel that showed obscure movies that had never been issued on any video formats.

I do

Probably all of the 80's movies are out of the rotation on those channels.

I wonder how they choose which movies to show on those channels?

Re: DirecTV -- News and Updates

Directv removed all the color from the channel logo banners and now they are all white or grey.

No red in the CNN logo and no colors in the NBC logo

Is this a way to cut down on costs?
