We did the same switch. DTV for years to Hulu Live. There are some weird quirks to get used to like channels not having actual numbers you can directly go to but I'm glad for the move. Don't have to keep a dish clear of snow in the winter and I can watch live TV from my iPad while working. One thing regarding live TV I do miss is the previous channel button.

I see that Hulu Live doesn't offer AMC and you can only stream to two devices at the same time. Neither are total dealbreakers but YouTube Live offers AMC and 3 streams at once. I think I'm leaning to YouTube at the moment.

YTTV is a far better choice, IMHO. You just potentially lose access to sports channels (RSNs).

We like YTTV.
unlimited dvr is great. You can record virtually everything.

Hulu has unlimited DVR as well. Stores recordings for 9 months.

I'm currently on DirecTV's most basic plan. If it goes up one more time in 2024, I'm likely out.

I use YouTube TV and I love it. Only downside is no regional sports networks, but I mainly just watch college football, basketball, and NFL so it doesn't affect me.

Spoiler alert: It will go up.

We dumped ours last year after having been a customer for almost 20 years. Without the big discounts that they used to give, we couldn't justify it.

Still think it's a mistake to go to streaming for Sunday Ticket(and only two concurrent streams).

It is not two concurrent steams. They backtracked on that. Unlimited at your home address..

Now that I bought NFL sunday ticket on YouTube I can finally get rid of DirecTV.

But I can’t go with YouTube TV if I can’t get my St Louis Cardinals games, which are on Bally Sports. I watch 100+ games per year.

No idea what I will do. I might have to keep DirectTV. Ugh.

So the only way to watch local sports is with the Bally app -- which can only be used with Direct TV stream or Fubo. Well that sucks.

I wouldn't choose Fubo over YTTV but does anybody else here use Fubo?

That's a good reason that's holding me back(since unlimited number of streams is now permitted).

And zero chance of contacting customer support at Youtube and getting it for free like some Directv customers claim they got but not me and paying close to full price since 2001.

I mean if you pay full price every year, why would they give you a discount since you'll pay either way?

When I got Sunday Ticket from DTV at a greatly discounted price then I always still stretched the payments out.

Yeah I know not everyone wants to get hammered with a $400 plus bill on their credit card right away.

They are offering a 50 dollar discount(You Tube version) until Sept. 19th(don't quote me on the date).

I don't get it Directv charges you extra for Discovery + when you have HBO when it is now part of Max?

Do you have the HBO/Max channel or the streaming app? I have cable. If you have the old fashioned HBO cable channel, Discovery+ doesn't come with it. Have to subscribe to the Max streaming app to get the bundle.
Cancel the HBO channel and subscribe to Max streaming.

I got HBO with Directv and I get Max free because of the Directv HBO subscription

I guess I can go to the Max app for those Discovery + shows but maybe another way for Directv to get more money out of their subscribers.
