Are there any more significant channels left on Directv that aren't in HD? I can't think of anything really significant.

REELZ would be nice. They have been airing some Canadian shows and miniseries along with their entertainment news shows. But, I can live without it if DTV never gets the HD feed.

Sundance, FXM, SOAP, TVGN, FLIX would be nice. Especially Sundance.

it does seem too high and would be out of place with the sports channels since it is taking over the Fox Soccer channel. irregardless, i did add it as a favorite just in case.

Just realized that Universal Sports is SD on Directv.

I was flipping the channels and wanted to watch the IAAF track and field championships in Russia. But, it's in SD and couldn't get over the shitty, stretched SD picture.

Yeah, definitely still several channels that need to go to HD that I never watch only because they are SD. Reelz, Universal Sports, Sundance(would have watched that new show on it awhile back, blanking on the name), maybe a few others I can't think of right now.

Yup that's it. I don't even want to bother in SD.

I don't even want to watch one Broadchurch ep in SD that I downloaded from On Demand(although I will). Apparently none of them show up as NEW(shows the original airdates as back when it aired on BBC) on DirecTV so they weren't recording and I don't want to record every episode as it seems they replay them a lot and that will be annoying. That's the one thing I don't like about DirecTV is that the guide is bad at knowing when episodes are 'new' or not compared to every other DVR I've owned.

Ovation channel 274 and Reelz Channel 238 are finally in HD on Directv.

MTV2 channel 333 is finally in HD but maybe too late since it is not a music channel anymore except for the late hours.

so, do both IFC & Sundance have commercials during their movies? I never thought they did before, but maybe I just didn't watch them much.

Both added commercial breaks a few years ago, MGM HD also added commercial breaks a year and a half agoish.

It took 9 years and finally Sundance is in HD.

WE channel 260 is now in HD though it is a channel I don't care for.

BBC World News channel 346 is a new channel added this week.

When is FUSE ever going to be in HD?

Finally Sundance is in HD. If I have time, I might try to catch up and watch The Red Road and Rectify when their new seasons start. Luckily these seasons on Sundance are so short.

I'm already paying an arm and a leg every month and I think I have pretty much everything I can think of that I watch regularly.

I mean it would be nice if Universal Sports were in HD, but I'm not expecting it.

VH1 Classic, Fuse, and El Rey.

Not sure if anyone gets VH1C in HD or not; I'd assume Fuse is available in HD.

El Rey shows a lot of movies, so it should be available in HD.

Also C-SPAN (who gives a shit?) and Al Jazeera America are in SD.

^^^ Yes, forgot about El Rey, especially with the new season of From Dusk Til Dawn coming up. Plus, they have a crap load of old school Kung Fu movies that air weekly. What's weird about El Rey is you can get the shows on demand on Directv in HD.

Also just remembered the Pivot channel (does anyone watch it?) is only in SD. I know they show that Fortitude show from the UK.

I could care less about VH1 Classic or Fuse.

I think you can get some El Rey shows in HD from on demand like Matador and Dusk Till Dawn.

No VH1 or FUSE in HD yet which is a shame.

CSPAN should be in HD since it is a major network.
